Blind Item #5

It is one thing when you start using Groupon for your concert tour a month or two into sales. When it has just been a week and almost everywhere on your tour is selling half price or better tickets via the service, you know it is time to pull the plug. I think these two one name artists touring together thought things would be a big success. Nope.

Side note, the LAT has a big piece on Goddard today.

I saw the article on Goddard. I wondered when reading it if he was in any of the blinds the last few weeks?

Side note +1: Mark Salling pled guilty to child porn charges a couple days ago. I just noticed today

I just hope Kesha survives the tour. I read the Goddard piece, how is he still alive and free? Seriously.

Aww, I hate hearing this. Macklemore is a hometown guy here in Seattle, so I will always have a soft spot for him.

Concerts are a luxury expense, and with god knows what is going to happen financially in our future I would rather save my money than spend it on a 2 hour mediocre concert.

oh my god, don't you get laryngitis or lyme disease BEFORE you have to go the groupon route?

@Just sayin': LOL!!!!!!

They're both one-hit wonders. Why would anyone care?

I feel like this was a BI a month ago or so. Is it the same one or an additional one?

The earlier blind that feels similar was the Jay Z one.

This is a feel-good story, thank you! It's great to know that so few people are willing to pay for these mediocrities.

"Aww, I hate hearing this. Macklemore is a hometown guy here in Seattle"

Supposition here, but it was decided by those who influence the music industry (but not in the industry itself) that Macklemore would be a one hit wonder. They would rather have Taylor Swift and her designer costumes than someone out of Seattle claiming that life can be great with less, not more. One wouldn't think that a controversial stance but certain large industries do, so only one cute hit for him.

But he had more than one hit, didn't he? There were several off his first big album. Do you mean one album hit? To me, it seemed like once he won those hip hop Grammys, he was doomed.

Oh, I am GOING. Kesha's new album is phenomenal.
