Blind Items Revealed #1

December 7, 2017

There is no secret I have had disagreements in the past with this A-/B+ list mostly television actress who travels from show to show on that almost network. She is a celebrity offspring and has been exceedingly generous to a family member to the tune of several hundred thousand dollars. The fact that family member made sure to shaft her, and to do so in a way the public sees, and without her having a chance to speak up, says a lot about the jerk.

Katie Cassidy/David Cassidy leaving her out of his will.

I don't really like KC, but her Dad really did her dirty here.

i wonder how old the will was.

I read it was an old Will from 2004
He should have updated it
Before the Dementia took over
He really didn’t have any $$
And a pending lawsuit from his
most recent car wreck

Since he deliberately excluded her from his will, does that mean she's protected from all the creditors that are coming after his estate?

@B626 That's what I'd read, as well. He could have even made an amendment on a piece of paper that he signed and had a witness for, but apparently he never did. If you look at when he created that will, KC was only 17. Seems a bit harsh to write something like that for your own kid who was till a teenager. (Full disclosure: she turned 18 that November so COULD have been 18 when he wrote the will. I've only seen the year, not the date of the will.)

I’ll never forget his last words, “so much wasted time”

This is why wills need to be reviewed every two to three years. Situations change, grudges are forgiven. If you don't change your will in those cases, someone gets hurt.

I am skeptical of those being his last words. Too perfect. Mb they had some sort of verbal understanding about the will.

David didn't "shaft" anyone but himself. Katie had him figured out a long time ago and she's consistently taken the high road - because she's a better, healthier person than David was ever able to be. His parting shot, leaving her out of a $150,000 will, has no impact on her financially, and emotionally, it's just more of the same shitty way he treated her for years. It does more damage to his legacy that he was that petty to his own child. As it should.

So who did he leave everything to? Are there other kids/wife/so/siblings? If she was supporting him what could he possibly have to leave her? Maybe as the above poster said he was trying to protect her from paying his creditors? No idea if he was rich or poor ir in debt. Havent given him a thought in 30 years. Know the daughters name but no idea who she is.

It will go to his son and wife if there is anything left to distribute

Ironic that the 150k is probably money that she lent to him.

Maybe the son needed the money more and she understood this.

Elvis and MJ are both worth more now than when they died. Properly managed his legacy could make some money for someone.

Maybe her Fappening pics being exposed was some attack or revenge. By who?

She’s hardly A- list

Did she sell out?

I met him when I worked at QVC (late 90s)... he acted as if everyone was in love with him.

David Cassidy's entire estate came to $150,000. He left it to his 20 something year old son. I don't think he shafted anyone. He probably thought his son would need the money more than Katie would. His music collection went to his half brothers.

I think we’re missing the point, DAVID CASSIDY WAS A SELFISH, PETTY, LITTLE MAN! It doesn’t matter if he left an estate worth one dollar or several million dollars, it was a final F. You! to his daughter. (My aunt left her estate to 2 of her sons and her “love” to the 3rd son. He still whines about it 20 years later). I hope @Tierney is correct and Katie doesn’t need his support. I’m sad that she didn’t have a dad who was there for her, even at the end.

@CoCoPuff: You're always protected from creditor of a deceased person's estate as long as you had no ownership of any part of it before their death.
