Apparently back in the day at Burt Reynolds' house he had a BBQ. AT the BBQ was this permanent A+ list comic actor who starred in a franchise with Burt. He told a story that when LBJ was President he drove this A+ list actor to see a fully preserved alien. Is it true? Who knows, but I bet he made it one hell of a story.

If you Google "Jackie Gleason" and "aliens", there are a bunch of hits for this story, but it's Nixon who shows him the aliens.
Just googled, this comes up as a story Gleason told, but it was with Nixon.

Gleason was very into alternative truths, he had one of, if not the largest collection of paranormal/occult/spiritualist books outside the Vatican , many of them rare and expensive and was often contacted by researchers as he had an almost encyclopaediac memory of his researches along those lines.
