A while back, maybe two years, ENTY asked readers for donations because the wire services were asking more money for the photo feeds. So I guess it is a money issue. Obviously there is a lot of unlicensed usage of copyrighted photos on the internet but I guess CDAN falls into the area of being too large to escape notice but too poor to pay.
@D Brown, it was much longer ago than that,before the layout changeover. The site had few ads at that time. But you are right,the higher profile for this site means they want more money.
