Enty, don’t you dare put this out in the ether about Willie. I have an extremely hard time accepting that he is mortal. I lived in Austin when SRV died, and the mourning was palpable. I can’t begin to imagine the grief when Willie passes. I’m going to have to throw on some of his albums now just to calm my nerves!

Not Nelson. He has cancer according to a recent blind as I recall.

Willie stopped touring. Neil Diamond announced he would stop touring. Paul Simon announced he would stop touring. Elton John announced he would stop touring. One of those?

Hi Frufra!

When Willie passes, it will the worst celeb death for me since Mr. Steinbrenner passed.

I check the news apprehensively every morning with all the reports lately. I had a tough time when Merle died but Willie will be worse.

Hey kid, how are ya?

I'm doing alright. Boring middle age existence, w/ occasional binges.

Hope you and your family are doing well.

We are, thank you for asking, and may I wish you the same.

My advice is to embrace the boring - we’ve moved right past that are are now dealing with an elderly parent with mental illness and an impending Parkinson’s diagnosis who can’t do even one damn thing the easy way. We’re looking back on the boring times with great affection!

My mom passed away 2 yrs ago. It was quick, but too young, just passed 70. My kid's teenage years should be my next unnecessary excitement.

I have a friend who has beed dealing with an parent who has Alzheimer's. Luckily his pop had some serious money saved up, so they have had live in help the last couple years, but it is rapidly heading to the point where he needs to be in a facility of some sort.
