This could have turned out very badly. This Grammy winner from last night was talking to a voter and asked who he voted for in Album Of The Year. Apparently he did not know to whom he was speaking and said A Sailor's Guide To Earth. That took the questioner so off guard that she started laughing. She had been ready to go off on the guy and in what can only be described as a tribute to Michael K, walked away and said that is some crazy Benjamin Buttons s**t.

I've always wondered whether she likes that nickname.
@plot Unfortunately getting a Grammy doesn't mean you can sing or play an instrument or write lyrics. It only means you either slept w/ the right person, gave bj's to the correct voting team or someone owes you a favor or you paid them off in drugs, sex, money or all three.
It's the same for Emmys and Oscars....

Why would Ms. Knowles have objected to the voter's answer?
Because the voter thought she was talking about the country category?
Because she has some sort of bad blood with Sturgill Simpson that the whole world is supposed to know about?
Or because he somehow failed to show sufficient deference to her?

She was probably expecting him to say Bruno Mars, and was ready to lay in on that since his album was bad shit. But when he said the sailors guide she wasn’t expecting it and it took the wind out of her sails..

Just listened to the Solange song. It ain't that good. She does that annoying little "errr" bit of vocal fry before every new stanza, just like her sister. It's practically tourette's after the 3 time. So ugly.
The production on that song is so...weird. If Solange had anything to do with it, she should shut up and listen to her betters.
I kinda wonder of Jay Z spent the money and sent the prostitutes, to the right people, to "thank" Solange for not commenting after the elevator tapes were released.

Last years Grammy,she expected him to say Adele,and when he didn't, she got a good laugh. Bey was expected to win, I think.
I don't understand the comments kind of saying she isn't talented? Last year she was in the top 10 of almost every critics list, and reader poll, often in the top three. Her music is nothing like her sisters, most people think her music is far better in fact.
Oh, I think Solange has talent. I really liked some of her early output in which she seemed to be enjoying herself a lot. It's just this song itself...it's not very good and her song stylings are extremely irritating.
Yes, Solange is always ready to go off on everybody because her opinions are so important to the rest of the world.
She puts out incredible music, she's made the smart choice of picking a diff lane to her sister as well. Whoever managed her career did a good job, you would see her moving in for lack of a better word 'alternative R&B'circles for a while, a bit more outspoken than her sister and a bit less aimed at the pop charts. A seat at the table was released at the right time and was huge in certain circles, every credible magazine/music site had that album in their top 5 and as much as I hate doing it I would have to agree. Very smart work by her and her people
