If you're a restaurant owner, your faith! Oh Gawd, how could you schedule Ash Wednesday and St. Valentine's Day on the same day?

Gator said...

I'll give up fish on fridays.

Gordon Scott said...

Whoa, there, Bubble...you don't want to go off the deep end. Food, drink, sure, fasting is good for you. But rethink the Xanax...for all of our sakes. ;-)

While I’m not actually “giving up for Lent” as I’m not entirely clear on when it starts and ends, some suggestions out there this year were compelling:
-Beating yourself up for not being perfect
-Holding yourself to standards you wouldn’t hold others to
-Being in the presence of people who are not good for your physical or mental health
-Making excuses for not doing that thing you want to do
-Taking anonymous criticism to heart

Those sound pretty good to give up, and no time like the present to try it out.

All those new and unwrapped sex toys I've been hoarding for years from Amazon. I've been sending them to anonymous strangers.

I am going to try and do more things I put off doing around the house. Clean out closets and the basement, fix things I put off, etc...So I guess I am going to give up being lazy? I also need to make appointments for doctors and dentists that I keep putting off. Ugh!
