"promotional model" = bourbon = JD has a bourbon business. Rumors are he sleeps around and loses money hand over fist w/ shady dealings....

....because of "significant other" mention it could be the two newbies last season on Southern Charm: Austin and Chelsea. They also broke up recently and he's at a bar every day for his "beer research" - she mentioned she doesn't like his lifestyle (partying every single day and night and flirting and/or trying to hook up w/ other women right in front of her).

Which breakup would be spun by "who has final cut" though? The show runner is Whitney (who was not cheating with promotional models, unless they were men). He's got a massive crush on Thomas Ravenel, so I vote for him.
Just because Craig likes to sew doesn't mean he's gay. Whitney has my gaydar going off and he's the producer of the show. Notice how he broke up with his girlfriend, too. Craig and Naomie broke up because Naomie wants an ambitious money maker and she thinks Craig is lazy. She is so angry at Craig (as you can see from the show) that if Craig were hooking up with guys Naomie would be shouting that from the rooftops like when she yelled at JD at Shep's dinner party. The gay one hooking up with dudes is Whitney, the producer. He should just come out. By the way, Whitney did a really excellent documentary on Halston. It is definitely worth viewing.
I think this blind is Craig, but I definitely don't think he would be sleeping with every model in town.
JD has been evicted out of his restaurant owing at least 130+ k in unpaid rent, supposedly doing a lot of cheating, as well as drugs, and is definitely being made to look slightly sympathetic, until Naomi jumped on him.
Actually, I vote JD. Everyone, even those not in the party scene know about his cheating, partying, and shady biz deals. The second it was put on TV him and his wife basically said Naomi was lying.. Charleston is a small town though :-)
They're putting a bunch of interviews of him saying "he tried his best" and making Naomi looks crazy and a nag tho. I can see he got a good edit

Doubt this is Craig/Naomi from Southern Charm. Given how outspoken Naomi and all the women are this season I think if Craig had been banging models it would definitely been brought up on the show. No way Craig has final cut authority. If Southern Charm is the show it's probably Shep that was banging all the models. I think when he talked about cutting it off with the NY chick from his show he said he went up to NYC and she only saw him a couple of nights like she wasn't making the effort and chose job over him. More likely he was hounddogging it in NYC and only made time for a couple of dates with her just to complete his dating show arc.
PS -That dating Shep show was the dumbest fake dating show ever...and that's saying something.
In addition to Just Sayin' comments - You are correct...JD and Thomas Rav are close friends, I can see Thomas asking Whitley or other producers to do him a "solid" by not making JD look bad. Southern Charm clearly is putting the magnifying glass on all the douchebags in Charleston.

JD and Liz were portrayed as the mature couple, bourbon, restaurants, four babies. But in truth, the restaurants were being evicted ($144,844.52 in past due rent), he was being sued, the bourbon has not made a mark in the industry (JD used the show to push Gentry) and he's been sleeping around with young women in Charleston at events.

Liz, who was the most put together one on the show, is in crisis but she's backtracking now. Whitney has final cut authority and I can see him and TRav protecting JD as much as they can.
Naomi and Craig was over Craig's ADD... he doesn't finish things, he flits from project to project. The whole law school degree and bar thing was nuts. That said, I love Craig and think he's a genuine person. Probably a blast to date and play house with but he's not ready to settle in and grow up yet. Unrealistic to ask him to be something he's not. I hate it for them both.

I love that so many watch this show... it really is the best cast(and an amazing backdrop of a city). I’ve been hooked since day 1 and am unabashedly obsessed with Patricia and Whitney (who is mos def in closet).
TRav is absolutely dynamic and funny AF (they all are in their own way).
