I owed a little bit to state, but my federal return was the highest it's ever been. I would prefer to either break even or owe a little.

Owed the US (and they cashed the check with a quickness) but will get a refund from the state, which is more than I owed the US.

Hubs and I had to pay in close to $4,000...he looked at me and said we need more deductions! I'm 59, and he's gotten all the deductions out of me he's going to get! My sons are 34 and 27...and I ain't about to have anymore!

The Federal Reserve will soon be OBSOLETE, so much for income tax after that happens!

And especially after THIS HAPPENS:

Owed. Paid. Bled. They did send a consolation prize of a Justin Bieber Pez Dispenser and signed pic of Phyllis Diller laughing and flipping me the bird. Thank you America.

Being self employed means I always pay every year.

While doing my 2017 taxes, our CPA recommended for 2018, that I make a $50,000 deposit with the IRS.

We'll see about that.

=(

I agree with @Thia. We prefer to owe a little. We moved and btwn expenses and the tax cut, we got a pretty sizeable refund, so we have mixed emotions. I prefer to not lend the government interest-free money.

Paid, but then there was a change in the law so we will get some of it back. Guess we should have procrastinated. Paid less than before, though. And they gave me higher deductions on my teacher supplies so that helps me a lot.

We got a small, but decent refund this year. Not replace the roof decent, but pay off a couple of credit cards decent.

As always, self-employed, so I have to pay every year.

The current administration isnt so friendly to single moms working crappy jobs

Owed. The federal standard deduction doubles next year, which could mean I'm paying thousands less. We'll see.

So you paid zero in taxes? Not likely.. Unless you are super poor. You just got back MORE of the money than you had previously.
