That may be "the minimum" effort by the record company.
Reviews can most definitely be "purchased," though not always with cash. So many ways: Money, advertising dollars, drugs, sex, dangling of future exclusives, and so on.

This is sad. I don't like pop music, but this woman can sing and is original, unlike say Beyoncé. So what's up with that fail career?
Definitely Christina Aguilera I think the public just does not like her and that is a shame. Despite what haters say Christina is a VERY GOOD SINGER she has a strong and powerful voice. She needs better PR to clean up her image the stories about her coming across as a cold bitch has hurt her reputation.
I'm with @Lucius in this one, I don't listen to Christina's music genre but unlike most mainstream autotune crap the woman can sing. It's a shame that her ego is so big that she can't welcome any outside input, now I understand why she doesn't know how to dress for her current figure, she desperately needs a stylist! also some good hit song so she could get back right on top of the game.
Good. They all sound the same, look the same, dress the same.
The problem with xtina is song selection. She still wants to pass as 20 years old and compete with the camilla's of this world. An album of MOR R'nB songs that show off her voice would sell very well.
