Sadly, even though Tesla is burning through cash to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars per quarter, the government is very unlikely to just let it crash now that so many pension funds own so much of its stock.
They're probably going to continue keeping this sucker afloat,
although its suppliers are the ones likely to get screwed.

@rosie, the people who refused to believe it will say it only ended up coming true because false claims about problems like this caused investors to doubt and dragged the company down. Watch for it.

I was always a fan of the Tuckers and DeLoreans, I hope Tesla is able to ride this out. 15 years ago electric cars were a pipe dream, not because the big automakers couldn't do it but because they had no interest. Sometimes we need upstarts to push things forward.
