Blind Item #9

Rules have been established for press on this upcoming biopic. Any press member asking about the fired director will have their interview terminated immediately. The lead in the movie says he will not discuss the director either. They all say, it is irrelevant because the director is gone. Umm, then why was he recently doing some editing on it.

  6. And why is he credited for it? So dismayed by Rami's silence. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1727824/?ref_=nv_sr_2

  7. people should boycott this movie. 'oh but i love queen' 'oh but i want to support rami malek'

    NO.

you want to do what you want to do without thinking of who it truly is supporting - BRYAN SINGER.

word to the wise: dont go see bohemian fucking rhapsody. even Malek getting a nom will be a win for Singer.

Rami has changed, priorities wise. he wants to be a big star and he doesnt care if a little boy rapist directed him. he is thirsty for that oscar.

  9. I think that son of a bitch made a mistake signing on for Red Sonja. It's all going to come out and he doesn't understand the power behind calling it out now. I'm not talking about the #metoo movement, I'm talking about the fact that real issues are not being ignored anymore. He reminds me of Clinton during the last election. Absolutely no clue of the power behind the hatred that people feel for him, and narcissistic enough to never listen.

  10. I will note the name of every so-called "journalist" who permits an interview on those terms. They have zero credibility and I hope their peers let them know their failure.

    1. Exactly, how about turn the tables. ALL the journalists ask, they all get banned and there’s no one left to write puff pieces for their crappy movie. Let’s see how long their rule lasts then!

People don't give a shit who directs these super hero movies. It there are enough twists and turns and explosions, they go. If not, they don't.

Hiring Singer won't do anything to the box office, which I expect to be terrible for both Red Sonja and Bohemian Rhapsody. Maybe not BR, thinking on it, but it should.

Most people who attend these treacly POS pumped out by studios can't even name the directors. There is no overwhelming hatred for Singer, hate to tell you. People don't care.

thats great, but I DONT have faith bohemian rhapsody will fail and malek wont be racking up those awards.

people will forget Singer was involved. or rationalize it and go, oh but malek stood up to him. oh, but he was fired. oh, but i just want to support the actors and crew.

I wish Fox would be publicly exposed for having never fired Singer and it was all for show, cause he sure as hell is still in creative control of the movie

  14. its also important to remember that the allegations have been around for DECADES. so anybody who signed onto bohemian rhapsody already knew Bryan Singer was directing it. but they were ok with that, they made a choice, their career was more important than working with a ped0

also, ben hardy is in the film playing the blonde band member (I dont know queen) and he is one of Singer's boytoys. was in X-Men too.

  15. Weinstein came down. Gunn is toast. Lets keep up the pressure and see what happens.

thank you for your hopefullness i hope it can rub off on me

  17. FFS, he's directing Red Sonja. The powers that be are protecting him. Why? Probably because they're equally implicated. Way to go, MeToo. And any member of the press that isn't asking questions doesn't get to call themself a journalist. Just a stenographer at that point ... Part of the publicity team.

  18. Rami was cool at first as a weird looking dude, but who cares now, he's not going to be the next Christopher Walken. As for Bohemian Rhapsody, it's not going to be a Walk the Line, I think they're ten years too late with this movie.

When the sh!t comes down even Singer sewing machines are going to be changing their names.

  19. @Bestman - reminds me of disgraced Lance Armstrong. They had developed new testing technology and new his old tests were all dirty, but he was retired so they were just going to let sleeping dogs die. They told him he was not welcome back to the Tour De France in any capacity, not even as a visitor.
What does he do? The stubborn, spiteful SOB comes out of retirement, and comes back to spite them.

Now he is stripped of his titles and disgraced.

Hopefully a similar scenario plays out here.

    1. Had he decided to retire, and stay hidden, I think he would have gotten by with all of it. I think this is a mistake though. I think he's going to get caught.

  21. @Amartel

"The powers that be are protecting him. Why?"

Because he brings in his movies under budget and on time and they aren't TOO bad? Because he makes hits? Because he has become one of the Accepted which means totally accepted by Hollywood, warts and all (read the Linda Bloodworth-Thomason recent piece on how this works for men and against women.)

Big men swinging their imaginary Big Dicks around is one of the essential facets of Hollywood and the Dicks like Singer.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Which is what I said, you blithering hysterical ninny.
You either care about the rape culture and pedophilia in Hollywood or you don't. This puffy-faced pervert can be replaced ... if Hollywood is serious about MeToo, which they're not. Clearly. And if he's not guilty of what he's been accused of, over and over, then just say why. But what will happen is that they'll wait another 10 years or so, to where he's all played out (like Weinstein and Cosby) and then there'll be this big BIG show of shock and horror and "we didn't know." Barf.

  23. Open Secret still has that top pin on their twitter account advertising a big drop of something 'in the coming months' and then, nothing. the timing of it was supposed to coincide with the release of bohemian rhapsody. the cast, producers, Graham King, etc. are trying to erase bryan singer's fingerprints on this movie bc its convenient for them. they are VERY thirsty for awards season because they think malek can get the oscar.

its so messed up. bryan singer was signed up as director before ANY ACTOR was cast. which means everybody knew who they were signing up for as their boss. shame on you, rami.

  27. What was the last Oscar win for a lead in a musical biopic?

Trying to capture Freddie Mercury is one thing. Rami will either be ridiculed or praised FOREVER based on this movie . Portraying him satisfyingly to the demographics of his fan base is almost impossible. With all the twists and turns of this movies production, at this point it just seems like a cash grab because a movie was "inevitable". Sigh.

"Purple Rain" aside, you could NEVER do a movie with ANYONE playing Prince. Some things you just shouldn't do. I would pay big money to just see footage of Queen performing and putting the music together. #shrugs

  28. i loved watching Mr Robot then i had to boycott because it pandered to Trump haters

  29. Will we be going to the theater to watch these films? If no one goes to these two and the next three he tries to direct it will make a difference.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Customarily, as a big Queen fan I would see BH rhapsody opening weekend, but I will boycott until I can see it on video for free somehow. I may even weaken if it is four-star reviews on down the line. But I doubt that.

    ReplyDelete
  31. @Amartel

"This puffy-faced pervert can be replaced "

Or not, because Singer can bring in a movie under budget and on time which are the most important factors to the movie studios. Not every director can do that and also create hits. Singer can. So though no body in the audience cares who directs these movies, the studios care very very much.

Directors are not interchangeable. For that matter, neither are actors or singers.

  32. Wait, was Gunn part of the pedophile parade? Is there a blind and/or reveal I missed?

    ReplyDelete
  33. Would this be the biopic of freddie mercury? the guy who used to fly to Morocco to 'meet' twink boys? Singer is the perfect director for this movie.

    ReplyDelete
  34. @Nosy

Who knows where they all stand on Gunn now. He was convenient for a moment in the Great Pedo Hunt of 2018, but they seem to only use him as a touchstone now. Like Hilary!, Gunn! stands for something that translates to Evil!, I guess, but it's never been quite clear what they hold him responsible for except some ugly tweets he sent to friends over a decade ago.

Maybe he's now a trafficker of children in their ever spiraling downward narrative of Q.

    ReplyDelete
  35. See, there you go pretending ignorance AGAIN, plot.
What exactly do you mean by "it's never been quite clear what they hold him responsible for..."
We've all been exceedingly clear on what we hold him responsible for- you chose not to respond, several times even.
Feigned ignorance looks terrible on you. Shameful really. But since you've proven yourself to have zero moral compass, you probably aren't being disingenuous. I suppose you truly don't have a problem with a grown man saying numerous disturbing comments such as "I like when little boys touch me in my silly spot"
You are a foul excuse of a woman
