Blind Item #8

This permanent A/A- list dual threat actor who is also a permanent A+ list a-hole needs rehab. He is going to blame it on prescription meds, but it is coke and booze.

Alec Baldwin

+1 I was about to say Sean Peen but no dual threat for that a-hole

He suffers from a very serious condition known as "too many chances"!

Alec and Debra Messing and Mariska Hargitay are all besties. I keep waiting on their meltdowns too.

if it is AB, "permanent A list" feels slightly generous. I feel like he floats between A-list and A-minus, with permanent A-minus as his baseline. When he does well, he has room to drop a little. (mostly due to his temper and the loss of work that comes with it)

But he can always go up one level when his wife pops a kid out!

I'm surprised there isn't a blind today implying Meghan Markle was on the grassy knoll when Kennedy was assassinated.

And Baldwin is a turbo charged asshole.

Bleu said...

He punched a man in the face in broad daylight in NYC. Why does Hollywood give this guy more business?

Bleu said...

You're showing your age. People born that year are 55 and to actually remeber it are retired.

Sd Auntie said...

Exaggerated charges and mutual combat. Anger management classes are needed. He is too portly to do drugs. Heart attack vibes

Lo Key says stop with the censorship already! said...

Bleu, you don't have to be any particular age to know history. It's history to me but I certainly got the reference.

fionafab said...

Bleu: None of my friends who are in their 50's are near retirement. Early Social Security retirement starts at 63. Full Social Security retirement doesn't kick in until age 66.

Actors don't retire. Most don't even fade away. They can act as character actors into their 90's.

FYI: If you take early SS, you will lose over $100,000 in benefits during your retired life. I waited until I got 'THE LETTER' from SS telling me I was now qualified for FULL SS to retire. After working 48 years, I could finally exhale.

Baldwin isn't going anywhere. He isn't the only man walking on the edge of a razor blade who won't see the inside of a jail cell. This happens all the time in NYC. Just read the local newspapers. If you are a: real estate mogul, an actor, politician or patron of the Arts, you get a gentle slap on the hand and your wife gets to shop till she drops.

To my knowledge (for what it is) he has never raped a young man or young actress. He has an Irish temper. Don't we all?

Freckles said...

Baldwin looks like a drinker. Yes he may have an Irish Temper Like many of us (red hair and green eyes here) but he lacks self control as many of the entitled do. most of us live in reality where we had to hold down jobs and hold out temper and tongue.

Is there an asshole rehab center?

IanPhlegming said...

Once you've done the things you need to do to get into "the club," you get endless chances.

Tricia13 said...

He was always known as a drinker /coke head. My mom used to act occasionally on a soap called “The Doctors” yeeeeeeeaaars ago and it was big break really. Said he was drop dead gorgeous (which I agree he was at his prime), and very charming.
But he was always on something.
I’ve known other people who have worked with him since he gained sobriety (like 30 years inthink), and said he was professional, charming, and yet still managed to be an asshole.
Point being... you can take the drink outta the asshole but not the asshole out of the guy.
I don’t believe he’s slipped in his sobriety and enty shouldn’t imply that imo, but he’s a dick nonetheless and shouldn’t be treated with kid gloves because he’s a celeb.

Actually you can take SS at 62. It really depends on how long you live whether or not you lose money over the long run. I would suggest anyone takes it at 62. Think of how many people die after only collecting a few months (happened to my BFF) or who never take it (think of how many gay men died of AIDS back in the day who never took their SS).
I think most people who take it at 62 have to anyway.
As far as Baldwin goes. He's never hit and will never hit rock bottom. He will never stop boozing and coking until he's just too old to enjoy it, then he will drop dead and Hilaria will be rich.

Oh shit, Bleu, you're right! I've heard of Hitler, so that must mean I was born in 1939!

And everyone who went to see Titanic was born in 1912.

Bash Alec all you want, but you have to admit that his five minutes in Glengarry Glen Ross was one of the most memorable movie bits of the last fifty years. He was up against Lemmon and Pacino and Spacey and Harris and Arkin, but he was the one with the lines that everyone knows.

Tricia13 said...

Excellent Actor.
Should’ve included that . GGR and his subtle work in films like Prelude to A Kiss are extremely impressive.
Also solid theatrical actor

Whatever said...

Bleu = moron.

4PM NYC

Photo of Baldwin hailing a cab. Maybe he has finally learned his lesson.

WHO could it be? Such a mystery.

Unknown said...

Good job you didn't mention a dinosaur Hamid.
You're far too young to remember those.

Weekittylass said...

Irish or not, that is permanent sweaty coke bloat along with the booze. He really looks pathetic shuffling his tubby, disheveled self around the streets of NYC. He looks like he smells of stale sweat, stale cologne and urine.

Tricia13 said...

You forgot flatulence and arrogance 😉

Talking about drugs: The 'El Chapo' trial begins this week. Trying to imagine what the members of the jury are feeling today. Scared, emotional, pumped up with adrenaline, praying! I would be over-the-moon to be on that jury. Yes, I'm that crazy.

Pope of Hollywood said...

Sobreity my ass. He has had his major bouts with prescription pills. I'm talking cops on the scene, etc.

Weekittylass said...

My bad Tricia! Glad you have my back, lol!

BS

Be hyper-aware when you’re out and about Boo. There is no telling what the cartel might pull.

I hope he's not going to be in Beetlejuice 2. He played a likeable character in the original but it would be impossible to still buy him as a nice guy in the sequel. I hope they bring back Geena Davis, Winona Ryder and Catherine O'Hara though. But not Jeffrey Jones. And Glen Shaddix sadly died.

He suffers from a condition called being a narcissistic, egomaniacal punk ass bitch with an anger management problem.

Yep, both grandfathers, dad, two uncles, older brother never saw life beyond 59.... All of them as well as myself worked their asses off since before being in their teens. I'll collect my check on day one if still alive @ early retirement age. I can always continue to work if I want, so I don't see how you can put a loss figure on early retirement. It's nothing but a flip of a coincidence....

Unknown said...

Flip of a coin*

Unknown said...

one or more of them jurers most likely has found huge recent wealth

Unknown said...

No, Hamid. I don't believe that El Chapo was actually cast in Beetlejuice II.... But, I could be wrong

Unknown said...

It's closer to $40k for the 60 mo difference. If you can earn that in your 63rd year... Then basically breakeven. You gamble and shoot for the bonus @ 70 (aprox $15k) and don't make it? ... You lose it ALL

Love ya weekiity❤️

The I R S sent me an in-depth, detailed letter the year before my 63rd birthday showing me how much SS I had paid to that time and how much I would be getting if I took early retirement. They told me that if I took early retirement and continued working I would still have to pay tax on earned income.

They mentioned in this letter (and no, it wasn't a form letter) that if I could wait until I was 66 I would get full $ but could continue working and would rec. all my SS money every month.

They further encouraged me to not retire until I was 70! If I could stomach working four more years (I would have died) my monthly check would be a few hundred dollars more than if I retired at 66. I decided to retire at 66 because a few extra hundred a month at 70 wouldn't do me much good in my padded cell at Bellevue. I would have lost what mind I have left if I had to work 4 years more!

I am just telling you what they told ME. It might be completely different for someone else. I just know that I am thankful as heck every month when that check arrives. Believe me! Yes, I earned it, but you never think about it until you don't have a paycheck coming in every two weeks. My daughter, sadly, won't have SS when she gets into her 60's. They are already talking about extending the 66 age to 70 now.

You're right, @yepthatsme. But his politics are "correct" and he knows what ashes to kiss and exactly how to kiss them so he'll get another chance yet, watch. SNL was so hypocritical in not torching him last week....and they're not going to either.

AB has very very long1term sobriety, even if it doesn't seem like it. He is quite public about it. Out on meds maybe. Out onbooze and coke? Doubt it's him.

"Charming" is the key word. The most charming people, celebrity or not, are some of the most vile people walking on the earth, once you get to know them even just a little beneath the surface.

Drug dealer with a heart of gold.

Sounds like it has movie potential.

When I hear Charming and Vile in the same sentence.... I just can't help but visualize the over-the-top fake charm/smile in the non-stop Gaven Newsome political ads.

.... brb, gotta go vomit!!

If you work on SS early retirement, you lose $1 for every $2 you earn, then get taxed at the highest part of your tax rate on the $1.

There is no way out for anyone who. Is depending on wage slave money, and our kids have it worse. Should we be shocked about that fire 35 years of giving the US treasury to the elites in tax policy, while screwing everyone else? Voting has consequences.

He has the hard look of addiction. Much more than anger in those photos. Seen it on my ex husband . it's in the eyes and body language...and that's why his wife is keeping her distance

You can be fat and do coke. Look at Belushi.

And I am taking my SS as soon as I can.

anyone in Los Angeles or NYC will tell you that Alec Baldwin does AA meetings at least once a day and has for years. and no, I don't attend. Too bad he hasn't addressed the fundamental issues though.

Who's Martin in Atlanta?

fionafab said...

Hamid: Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. whom I met at 18 and worked with until his death, the day before my 26th birthday.

I was his eyes and ears in Atlanta's corporate world. When I encountered blatant discrimination in the workplace, I contacted him. He would show up with his staff and deal with it. Long, long story!
