#3 is not Hugh Laurie. He's is A-list. He's the second highest paid tv actor in a drama series ($400K per episode) behind only only Keifer Sutherland ($500K per episode) now that William Peterson ($600K per episode) has left CSI. He's also been made an executive producer of House. If that doesn't make him A-list then nothing ever will.

Can't be Hugh Laurie, because he is a solid A-Lister.

Can't be Julian McMahon, because he is on a cable show, not network.

So, that leaves Aussies Anthony LaPaglia or Simon Baker.

A quick Google search on him has "delighted to leave his hometown of Adelaide, Australia for the more racially-diverse America in the 1980s" as a quote. It's also mentioned how he grew up fending off racist bullies for his Italian heritage.

As for Simon Baker, he once starred in "Something New", where he plays the white half of an interracial couple.
