i don't think this is just revenge, i think there's something else, we just haven't found out what it is, yet.

and i'm NOT ashamed to say i love billy joel--very talented man and a favorite in my cd collection (of course that shows my age). i was thrilled for him when he hooked up with christie, who obviously has some self confidence issues.
anyway, the kids are going to be devastated no matter what, and things will be leaked. my court orders said both parents were to refrain from saying nasty things about the other parent, and so were the families of each parent, etc. etc.
my kid grew up with so many issues because guess who went out of their way to constantly say evil, evil things about me so that he never knew what to do.
if he had been able to know the facts, he would have known the truth and even at a young age could have said something to better his situation, maybe not have to have visatation.

No, they don't, but I imagine a good percentage of them probably get some vicarious satisfaction at seeing another scorned woman get her revenge. I think it's the the same kind of logic that leads to most of the 'soccer moms' being Team Aniston.

We root for the protagonist/against the villains in tv dramas, soaps, and movies all the time so I'm not sure why a real-life drama would end up with everyone rooting against the given protagonist. I wouldn't say I feel sorry for Christie necessarily.
