Talk about the self-hatred that tragically so often goes along with being gay or lesbian in today's world.<BR/><BR/>HOWEVER, the one area in which I can consider defending TC is in BI like this one. He mentions the subject’s "good wife at home" and the "family who adores him." Under those circumstances, whether the rest of the BI is true or just nasty conjecture to try to ruin a person's reputation/marketability, there are other (perhaps innocent, perhaps not) people whose lives are potentially being harmed. I'm not talking about a PR-arranged situation where the wife and fam are completely aware of hubby/daddy's extracurricular activities, or of an alleged Gwen/Gavin situation where things appear to be cool with her if he chooses to get his groove on in multiple ways. I'm talking about families who honestly do not know what's going on with their loved one, and who would be devastated to find out that he has been totally lying to them about his true self. Are these types of men, for whatever bitchy or personal reasons TC has for trying to out them, truly deserving of our sympathy?<BR/><BR/>I say all this as a (mostly) straight woman who would have very happily married at least three of my many gay boyfriends along the way, knowing full well that we would have had to have an "arrangement" by which each of us could have found certain satisfactions elsewhere. But for families who truly don't know that they are being deceived--if indeed they ARE being deceived--don't they have a right to know (as if they are actually reading gossip mongers like TC anyway LOL!)?<BR/><BR/>Ugh. Does anyone else remember TC's old column in Premiere magazine (somewhere around 1996/1997) when he actually used to be fun AND funny? Blinds are ugly secrets. I think for some of the blinds they expose the hypocrisy of Hollywood in general, while others expose the hypocrisy of the manufactured image of the star. We've all known complete assholes who are terrible or have done very mean things to people yet they act like they're perfect. Blinds are means of bringing those people back down to earth - to reality.
