She's not exactly a household name. The point I was trying to make was that former celebrities trying to jump start comatose careers through posing in Playboy never seem to get that boost that they think they will. McPhee finished in the top five (runner-up), which was the clue we got about who Playboy's first choice is. Kellie Pickler did NOT finish in the top five (6th place, though), so she would be the one waiting in the wings if McPhee decides not to do it. Just because Pickler has a semi-successful career in country music right now does not mean that she would automatically turn down Playboy. Lots of women who are experiencing success have used Playboy to get that extra "boost" that would get them more exposure for a wider audience (oh, the double entendres in that sentence--sorry!).
