In defense of the Jonas Bros I took my 15 year old daughter for her birthday. They played for an hour and a half, were completely entertaining, and were sincerely appreciative of the crowd of screaming girls there to see them. I was impressed.

Although that was in August and I still can't hear very well....

Great Report! I didn't sit through this crap, but am thoroughly disappointed at Daughtry's behavior. I really thought he was had some class. Hopefully this was a one-off event and not the product of the all-too-oft buying of one's own press. I mean, I've made an ass of myself at times, but I don't make a habit of it.

And one more thing, about the Chris/Rihanna/Kanye triangle, I believe it.

Kanye gave an interview with one of the tabloids, (E.T. or Access) and I thought it was odd that Rihanna was standing next to him. It didn't make sense to me at the time but now I'm reminded of the rumors.

I believe there is some reality to the rumors of a Kanye and Rihanna hook up. I also think that Rihanna is a typical opportunist.

I have always viewed the award shows from a critics point of view however it is hard to have a conversation with the average person about it because they only believe what it shown to them on tv.

Thanks for proving my point about the reality of the performances.

In regards to Annie Lenox OMG was she awesome! I agree she reminded us what a real musician looks and sounds like. Very classy, understated and talented. She brought tears to my eyes and hope for real musicianship back in my life.

Just for one moment she reminded me of the days when the performances at the award shows showcased talent instead of booty shaking, sex, noise and immaturity.

Great writeup. And I agree, Annie Lennox is everything that most of the stars these days aren't. I would once have thought that Xtina was primed to be her successor, but between her and Mariah doing all but phoning it in lately, it's hard to find anyone who has the right combination of style and talent to be that kind of fabulous.
