It's head would turn to the sound in the room and talk to you and in time it went from a baby cry to a young girl. This doll scared the crap out of me. I would make my husband take the batteries out before he went to work.

Well one night I watched as I thought he had taken the batteries out. My daughter was holding the doll and I went to kiss my husband goodbye. My husband stood outside the door. I turned around and said something to my daughter and that dolls head turned to me and started talking. I about shit my pants. My husband came in laughing his ass off. Still can't understand how my daughter could sleep with that thing.DetroitRockerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02425064646488112335noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37309174.post-87243991677119706052008-08-25T05:37:00.000-07:002008-08-25T05:37:00.000-07:00ace tomato, thanks. now i get it!ace tomato, thanks. now i get it!Mollyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01812795614613905032noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37309174.post-91934230979415567022008-08-24T14:27:00.000-07:002008-08-24T14:27:00.000-07:00Sea Monkeys. I had Barbie everything - including the house, corvette, camper and I had a Barbie grocery store with rows of plastic vegetables in bins and a shopping cart and everything. Had Ken and another male barbie doll - he had dark brown hair that was real (well, not really REAL, but you know what I mean). Don't remember his name but he was a get around brown with my Barbies.
The Sears and JC Penney Christmas catalogs rule our world!!!
I never had the EZ Bake oven or the Barbie Beauty head - which may be why I am still a rotten cook and can't function without my stylist (see Mom???)
I had a great childhood - my parents made sure we all had wonderful presents and fun things.
My one thing I never got as a child was a big microscope - every year they'd have some massive microscope set in those catalogs and I would circle it like mad, but no dice.
Sigh.
They made up for it with lots of sparkly things though =)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37309174.post-15834400075434826052008-08-23T15:10:00.000-07:002008-08-23T15:10:00.000-07:00I was so into Dawn Dolls, Barbies & Liddle Kid...I was so into Dawn Dolls, Barbies & Liddle Kiddles! I had 2 side by side bookshelves that I cleared off and made each shelf a room. I pretended all my dolls were different families but sharing one, big house. My parents were divorced so none of my dolls were married, the Ken dolls just visited! I remember I couldn't wait to get home after school each day to play with them. It was such an escape for me. I'd play for hours.
To be honest, I was indulged (out of guilt, no doubt) so there was no toy I really wanted and did not get. Wish I could say my life is still like that!
I still LOVE Seinfeld, it's one of my all time favorite shows. No matter how many times I watch an episode, I always laugh. Elaine & George for me were the stand out characters and were brilliant!
Thanks Enty, another great topic and memory.triunfoparkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01531511953678439770noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37309174.post-53909706660069255072008-08-23T10:29:00.000-07:002008-08-23T10:29:00.000-07:00Ms., my cousins had giant stuffed giraffe, and I e...Ms., my cousins had giant stuffed giraffe, and I envied them so much!
