Many are expressing outrage and disgust at this blind item. I want to first say that these are valid feelings and I wouldn't want to say these reactions are wrong. I suggested Mae West for a reason that noone else did in their research into timelines and what is the "real" Hollywood.
The behaviour exhibited by the person in this blind is likely that of an incest survivor. That behaviour being a grey area in what is an acceptable sexual choice and what is not. I am fairly certain, although of course there is no proof available today that Mae was a likely victim of sexual abuse as a child. In that regard Rita Hayworth would be another excellent guess.
I want to make it clear that I don't condone what the adults in the blind did, at the same time however I hope it highlights how the sexual abuse of a child has ramifications that last a lifetime, and how compassion should be offered to anyone who struggles with a sexual addiction or sexual "acting out".

Mae was accused of being a man for years. She was actually examined by a doctor hired by a New York paper and found to be "a completely anatomically correct and perfectly healthy female". Mae loved it that people questioned this and probably encouraged the papers expose, but in those days when people questioned her sexuality it wasn't because she was physically large by todays standards.
It was because she openly discussed sex in public, took hundreds of lovers, wrote and produced her own shows and openly refused to live her life in servitude to male superiority. People reasoned if she was as smart, fearless and as powerful as a man. She must be one.
Mae loved to exagerate about her life and told all sorts of lies (she claimed the reason she looked so young in her 70's was because she rubbed seman into her face everyday) The thing is when Mae really wanted to keep a secret, she did. And for all her promiscurity she was very judgemental of extra marital affairs.
If it does turn out to be Mae, believe Enty...just don't necessarily believe Mae.

I agree with you that there is a difference between a second cousin and a mother, and he probably would have been upset if he found out he was her son. I agree with you that what she did was wrong, very immoral. BUT I think it really trivializes what pedophile and serial killer victims go through to compare them to the grown man in this situation.

I'm assuming you are a female but I don't know that for sure. But lets assume you slept with your super-hot 2nd cousin (who you can legally marry ? someone correct me on that if I'm wrong). But after a torrid sexual affair, you find out it was really your dad. Not only that, but your dad KNEW you were his daughter and used you in every possible way anyway. And brags about it select friends. That is going to mess you up probably beyond repair - I can see someone getting suicidal over that and possibly going through with it. That is inflicting brutal mental torture.

What I get from ENT's blind is that the son never found out, but the possibility of him finding out certainly existed. This "mother" DID NOT CARE though, she totally got her jollies and that's all that mattered to her. The damage that could have been done would have been tortuous (sp?).

Pedophiles want what they want even though a child is hurt in the process, and they can't defend themselves. I'll bet any kind of money that this guy would have defended himself against the sexual advances of his mother. But he never had a chance to defend himself, because HE DIDN'T KNOW. The same cruel intent was there.

As far as comparison to a killer, her actions could have literally killed that guy emotionally. Same intent, same disregard for human life, differing circumstances.

Unless, of course, this guy just happened to be into mother sex for a thrill. Somehow I feel secure in doubting it.

We might have to agree to disagree on this one. But in my eyes, he was just as much a helpless victim of a predator as any victim of a pedophile or killer would be. He just didn't know he was a victim, and thank God he didn't!!!
