And, this sounds similar to another story I read about him. I believe he surprised the pediatric oncology ward of a hospital in London by showing up in full Jack Sparrow costume and character to be with the kids all day. It was the hospital that treated his daughter when she got sick while he was filming in London and he did it to show gratitude to the hospital and entertain the children.
