thanks Enty for the recommendation. We watched the first episode of Season 2 tonight, as well as a summation of Season 1 with Alan Ball (LOVE HIM). Interesting show, and I've never been into the vampire thing (I think I'm half vampire because of my work hours). Anyway, lots of funny, smart references, and it's mysterious without resorting to hackneyed conclusions. I'm kinda excited to see the second episode tomorrow night....

I haven't been able to sit down and watch True Blood cuz I watched the first 15 mins of the very first episode with my parents in the room and was SO uncomfortable with the sex scenes! Totally scarred me for life! The books are awesome though!!!

Lafayette is not a major character in the books. In fact, in the books, his body is the one found in the car at Merlotte's. It's my understanding that they intend to keep the character around in the show (if they were following the books, he'd be dead now, plus I saw an interview with the guy who plays him). Jasmine, get past the accents and it truly is a good show. I couldn't stand Anna Pacquin's acting in this show, but I was able to look beyond it.

I love Lafayette, too but I think they'll just let him die. Someone on here said before he is not a major character and gets killed off early.

I wonder what's up with that weird religious couple Jason has gotten involved with. And I'm guessing Sam's secret is going to come out.

i used to watch on videostic until i discovered ninjavideo. it's a little more high maintenance to use cuz you have to download the divx player and launch what's called the ninjavid helper beta applet...

but it't soooooooooo worth it cuz everything streams in high quality HD and this is definitely a show where you wanna see every. little. detail.
