They may have a Welsh "daily," someone who comes in and cleans, but that isn't really considered staff.
Granted, the "cottage" they live in isn't the two-roomer we typically think of as a "cottage," but it is not large. It is on the grounds of a larger estate. Their security detail lives in another cottage nearby on the same estate.
I hate, hate, hate going to the grocery store, so I try to get everything I will need for the next couple of weeks while I am there. I could never live in Europe, where people shop at least every couple of days. Whenever I visit family across the pond I'm always amazed at how little it bothers them to go buy food every.damn.day. And I've seen lots of photos of Kate shopping at her local Sainsbury's grocery store -- enough to believe that she really does do the grocery shopping herself.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37309174.post-32383289675914786152011-11-23T11:36:41.094-08:002011-11-23T11:36:41.094-08:00I love that this chick shops at Tesco. And the whole set of pictures shows a full shopping cart, far more than just 8 items.

What's up Enty? You're getting really sloppy lately. Commenting on the basis of just one photo?

Like earlier when you snarked on Kristen Stewart wearing sneakers to walk during the Breaking Dawn premiere. That was because she hurt her ankle during filming for Snow White and the Huntsman. I hate that I know that, but it was on one of those Hollywood tv news shows.

And earlier this summer during the Larry Crowne premiere when you said no one was there. I was actually at Grauman's Chinese Theater that day and there were plenty of people. Definitely not empty.

Anyway, been reading for years and I hardly ever comment, but new Enty seems to be way more careless about details these days.Wandering Chopstickshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04703018765718062460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37309174.post-71228483068574362662011-11-23T09:52:52.333-08:002011-11-23T09:52:52.333-08:00I agree with you guys but I dunno, I could see her...I agree with you guys but I dunno, I could see her doing this to be seen as a more common everyday person and it definitely has a relatability factor in the very action of shopping without staff to assist her.

I think Enty's point is if you dont ever see pics of her shopping and then ONCE she shops for such small items, it's almost like a staged photo op or something.

Remember this is the woman (and i dont necessarily blame her for this) who had a story recanted about her regarding a gossip rag's assumption she was wearing a wig in a close up picture of her hair. The royal house actually issued a statement about it being an old scar or something.

In short, this woman is a lot more conscious about her image and how it's projected than some people may realize.

I could definitely see her doing this simply to ascertain she is a woman of the people. Not such a bad thing for her to do but defintely a little manipulative.

Also, I think it's hilarious that most American bloggers and gossip mags still refer to her as Kate Middleton- i figured it began at least as a silly American way to not give too much attention to royal titles- as we dont have em here. It's also funny because this is the future Queen of England and she is still referred to by her maiden name--the sheer gall of this is awesome.Jasminehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13658518800251976948noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-37309174.post-61468195132781445562011-11-23T09:52:16.688-08:002011-11-23T09:52:16.688-08:00Food in England is different than in Canada and th...Food in England is different than in Canada and the US.
