Joe and Katherine have lived apart since the 80s. they no longer consider themselves "married" but because of their religious weirdness, they are not divorced. the problem i see is her age and also bringing kids into a home which has such weird religious beliefs. being JWs hasn't helped any of the jacksons yet.

I wish I could take those kids. Hell, I'd do it for free, give all the money to whoever (except an untouchable trust that they would get once they turn 18 or 21), just so those poor babies have a chance at some normalcy. It just breaks my heart to see them, motherless and fatherless, being used as pawns in some sick money grab.

Joe Jackson is the LAST person on Earth that those children should ever be around, he's the reason their father was so fucked up! I'd take those kids, raise them right, and hopefully once they were old enough to control their own money, they'd have a good foundation and good heads on their shoulders. Too bad I can't adopt them. Yeah I'm probably fucked up, but how can it get any worse for them? They just need love, support and good parenting, and it just shreds me to think that they are never going to get it. According to the nanny they did do an intervention but that let to her being fired, since she was the one that got the family on board for it.
As for the hidden money, apparently everything is being hidden from the family. Third parties are hiding things. Katherines an old lady that hasnt worked in ages. Janet and Michael take care of everything for her. For her to sustain and for the kids too, she needs money.
If Joe asked then I would have been suspicious but I dont think she has that on her mind. Its always been said that Michael and her was closer than anybody else, she probably just wants to take care of those kids to the best of her ability.

I just re-read Entys post and he mentions that Katherine will have no interest in just 'visiting' the kids if she no longer has custody because she won't get the money... ummm, she's 80yrs old... surely at this stage she doesn't care about the $$$ she cares more for her grandkids welfare??

Also, maybe i'm just being incredibly naiive or i just haven't read every word published about MJ but has anyone ever delved into whether he molested his own kids?? Joe and Katherine are still married. They just celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. However they are living apart. Katherine was close to Michael and lived in California near him. Besides the nanny she has been one of the only constant the kids know, even though she is so old.
I say give them to the only normal one-Rebbie. Shes living a quiet life with her husband of over 30 years. Those kids need some stability.
Joe lives in a home in Nevada that Janet brought for them. Apparently In the papers filed KAte lists her California home as her address but Joe doesnt.Years ago Katerine filed for divorce but Joe wouldnt grant her one so she just let it go. I hope the nanny stays because they've known her since they were very small and they don't need any more upheaval. They certainly don't know Debbie Rowe.
Michael has been paying for both parents' homes for a long time.
I think Katherine as guardian is fine for now but she won't be able to really raise them for very long. Rebbie and the nanny together would be ideal.

Kris - good point. I think that Katherine probably is the better person to take care of them. But my concern would be that she is simply too old to manage. I have no idea what his siblings are like and so can't say that they should go to one of them. I don't really think they should go back to Rowe because, essentialy, she SOLD them.. so she deserves jack shit, IMO.

Also, i too have read tha MJ has left a cataglog of 200 songs for his kids' future. Props to him for setting something aside for them.

Okay, can we let up on Katherine a bit. Please remember she is what, almost 80. Which means she came of age in the 40's or so. Women were expected to put up and shut up. Period. If he was beating the kids, isn't it likely he was beating her too? People didn't really start becoming vocal about how to deal with abuse until the 70's and 80's. Hell, look what Tina went through trying to get away from Ike.

Also, I don't think the parents can be the only cause for how messed up some of the Jackson kids... some of it you can probably chalk up to good 'ole show business. Works wonders on the ego.

I'm against Katherine getting the kids. If there is such a thing as life after death, Michael is SCREAMING right now. And Joe - what a piece of work he is. I don't think there will be a good solution to this one way [Jackson family getting them] or the other [Debbie getting them], if the money freaks get custody.

Jermaine is not a good role model for anyone. He married Randy's second wife after Randy divorced her. Also Jermaine has little one's of his own to raise and he named one of them Jermajesty so I don't think he's a safe bet either.

I would say Marlon is one of the sane ones but we also heard that he was working in a grocery store because he had no money. So if he gets his hands on any inheritance there might be trouble.
