I have had my birth chart done. It was pretty bang on. I didn't learn anything new about myself, or much of what my future might hold, but it was pretty accurate all the same. And IIRC, she said some accurate things about my husband, whom I had just met at the time.

You need the birth time to determine which house the planets are in. First house, which holds the rising sign, indicates the self. If, for instance, you have Venus in the first house, it often indicates a pleasing appearance. Not knowing the time doesn't negate the validity of the aspects (trines, conjunctions, etc.)

I don't know anyone else born on June 2, 1977 to validate whether they have a fortunate life or not but I suspect they do. Consider that Abe Lincoln and Charles Darwin were born on the same date. I don't know a lot about astrology, either, but what little I've read about it indicates you really need a time as well as a date and place of birth to chart someone's horoscope.

In any event, I've never seen a horoscope that doesn't make someone look like they have great potential in some area. If everyone lived up to their horoscopes, where would the total screwups fit in?
