Bunny, you want some of us to come have a chat with the Mister? We could explain to him that weed is a hell of a lot better than oxycontin.

We all know the power the drug companies wield. They don't want anyone using a cheap painkiller when they can charge hundreds of dollars for the latest "new and improved" pain meds.

And to make it clear I'm not biased by selfish interests, I've never smoked pot myself. Whether you legalize it in general or not, it's obscene that people with legitimate medical need can't get it.

Jax, I've been thinking about that for years - why is booze, and cigarettes for that matter, considered legal? Personally, I prefer the occasional tobacco-free puff to drinking something that once put me in an outhouse with an even more sick friend, thinking we were going to die.

i have learned to not go ANYWHERE without an oxycontin, because god forbid i'll need it. with luck, every few months i have to throw that one out because it's all dinged up and worn down and broken.
would i prefer weed if i could get it? you betcha. what do i usually wind up with? booze.
what do i think is the worst of the lot? the booze. if i'm in that much pain, i don't pay attention.
but i'm only allowed so many oxys, and the mister doesn't approve of weed.
it's a sad, sad world.

Well I've never heard her music, don't really know her outside of the gossip websites and have no intention of investing in her career.

I do know that it isn't wise for anyone to BRAG about or defend illegal drug use even if they are doing it regularly or casually.

Because it is illegal, publicly defending it is a bad career move.

why should the rest of us be denied any fun because a percentage of people can't stop at one toke or one line? because if that's the case i'd like to see booze, porn and gambling treated the same way.
