Like 15 years ago and before all of the coke. He did some buddy-flicks about a sort of round-the-way type of dude from, like, Marseilles or some place like that and which at the time was a HUGE hit in France; all of the dudes wanted to be like the character in the film, drive his souped up car and have his on-screen girlfriend.
