I politely disagree with the Janet/Britney/black/white comparison. Britney obviously was sick while Janet played the victim when an obvious publicity stunt backfired. It boils down to "she needs help" vs "how stupid do you think we are?"

I watched her special last night on MTV. She seems very unhappy. She needs to retire, take whats left of her millions, and spend the rest of her life away from the spotlight. If she feels like she's living in a prison as a celebraty then she ought to try living without fame or money for that matter. She complains that her life is like groundhog day over and over - she should try living on the average person's salary for a year.
Promoting a new CD seems like a lot of pressure for someone whose had extensive mental health issues.

Seeing that video kind of pissed me off - she looks like she's not grateful for the well wishes or the cake. Like she has Jessica Simpson "huh, what?" face.

Montana, I disagree. A lot went into Janets career decline. I think Mooshki is right about the being fat for too long when she was known for being a sex symbol. Look how many times in the last 20 years Whitney was crazy and it only hurt her the last few years.
