Today's Blind Items

First a hint about yesterday. Little is a very good clue if used right.

#1 So this record company is starting a new boy band. Trying to keep it hush and hush and waiting for the right time to spring another bubblegum nightmare on an unsuspecting world. So three of the boy banders are set. They all have been paired off with appropriate girlfriends and I mean friend. The girls are up and coming actresses who have a chance to make it big or at least make some noise. The record company doesn't want scandals they just want photos of the couples. The problem is that a scandal is sure to occur because at least two of the boys are gay and don't really care who knows. The problem is that the record company is one that doesn't know for some reason and so this will get messy when they find out their boys are up for anything and anyone.

#2 This B list actor (only television, no film) who is currently the star of a network television show recently became diagnosed with HIV. He contracted it from drug use. The producers don't know yet, but a few of his fellow actors in this ensemble show do.

If he's the star of an ensemble, and he's a B-lister on television (not film), does that mean it's a newer ensemble (or he's new to the show) based on EL's definition of what constitutes A list versus B list?

Exactly my thoughts. I immediately thought of John Stamos and his behavior in Australia last week - which EntL linked us to. He's most certainly on drugs but I doubt he's considered B list since he was on "Full House" for more than 3 seasons which would make him "former A-list" for EntL.

Can't be T.R. Knight because Grey's just finished its 3rd season, which would make him A-list [or at least B+].

No one from the original cast of Lost either..

Anthony Geary (aka Luke) has done movies, also, I have been watching General Hospital for a VERY long time and I would not consider him the "sole" star of the show. I actually watch it for Sonny & Jason (yum).

If you're into soaps like I am, we may want to check out Carpool Guy. It has a bunch of soap actors in it, it looks funny.

To the misinformed people who feel those with HIV look sickly, does Magic Johnson look sickly? He's been HIV positive for more than fifteen years.

- i havent read all the ones above yet

what about a show like What About Jim - was Belushi ever in a movie? Could a show like that be counted as ensemble? I'd put him at Blist.

Narc, if people who argue on the web are retarded, what do you call people who try to guess the answers to fake blind items?

Belushi did that dog-and-cop movie, and several more I can't remember right now.

Ah - good call on JB - I couldn't remember.

Twisted Sister - it seems like its been more than 20 years since he was diagnosed!

Has it been that long, Brenda? I thought it was like 1990 or '91. Geeze, time flies when you're older than dirt.

I'm not sure! I just know he is an extremely lucky man....and a good example for the crowd that argues that it might not be HIV that causes full blown AIDS....but that's a whole other can of worms.

To Anon 5:43

Caruso made a movie back in-the-day called Jaded-something ...a real flop...I can't remember the name but I know it starts with a "J"

Wasn't HJO charged with a DUI recently, for totaling his rather expensive car?

I think the "little shit" is him.

Is there a reason no one has guessed anyone from the cast of Heroes? I don't watch so I don't have a guess, but that's a pretty popular ensemble show starring a bunch of people I'm sure have never had a shot at a movie...

Anonymous said...

I guess because Heroes is so new - are any of them yet considered B List TV actor?

I don't know if someone already said this since I haven't read through the 200 posts, and I know it was said yesterday, but Bill Murray was in The Man Who Knew Too Little, so there is a connection. There is no way he's broke though - unless the 6 kids and drug habit sucked him dry!

Oh! AND he's only been nominated for one oscar for Lost in Translation. I do hope it's not him because I am a major fan.

10:37 They all have blind items. Perez, Lainey, and Ted. And as a matter of fact while most BI are cryptic, Perez's are usually along the lines of "what pop singer trying to revive her career who has two kids got f@#$%^ in a club bathroom" If you or anyone else wants to cry about the BI, go over and cry to all the other sites too. And the ones I didn't even mention that have BI's. Good luck with that.

The HIV+ actor could it be the guy from Friends now on some other show ... Matt something or the other..... he had a drug problem at one time??? Just a guess......

Magic doesn't have HIV. It's a grand conspiracy by the US gov't to cover up the fact that they f'd up by not containing the spread of the virus when they first had the chance. It quelled the "fear" in the public, and gave a "friendly" face to the disease. Magic made a lot of money and got to play on the olympic 'dream team'--which also threw off the other teams who didn't want to play against someone who they thought was HIV positive.
