Today's Blind Items

Tomorrow I will reveal the two recent kindness blind items. Now for today's fun.

#1 This married, award winning A+ film actor and director has a new assistant. His assistant is female and very attractive. His wife was concerned because our actor and his assistant were going to be spending so much time alone on the road doing publicity for his new film. Not to worry said the actor and the assistant. They both told the wife who is also an actress that the assistant is a lesbian, and has no interest in men. That is why it is so tough to figure out why the assistant spends each and every night in the same hotel room with the actor, has been seen making out with him, and why she thinks she is going to be the next Mrs. Actor.

  1. if you build it they will come Costner ...

  2. Possibly Sean Penn - new movie coming out which he directed & his wife is also an actress.

  3. Brad Pitt is not married. Besides, if his new assistant said she was a "lesbian", that would be music to Jolie's ears...

  4. Kevin Costner is so far from A+ these days it's tragic. Only not really because I hate him

    Totally Tom Hanks.

    ReplyDelete
  5. What about Mel Gibson? He's A+ actor/director.. even though he's lost a lot of respect in recent years. He fits the description.

  6. I thought Enty said he would never have advertising on his site because he was not doing it for the money.

Tom Hanks would fit, but what film would he be out doing publicity for? That part doesn't fit. Same with Mel. But Sean Penn has the new Into the Wild film, so would fit, but I wouldn't have considered him A+. Clooney and Pitt not married, so rules them out. I'm going with Penn.

  8. I think that its Penn too. I have always liked Robin Wright, so hopefully she'll catch on soon.

I do not think it is Penn because Robin Wright is not stupid and she knows all Sean's tricks...he's not fooling her.

  10. Sean Penn totally fits this. He has a movie coming out soon that he directed.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Coming out of lurkerdom to throw another name out there...one which I honestly hope is wrong:

Ben Affleck. He directed the movie "Gone Baby Gone", which comes out October 19th. So the publicity train should be swinging into high gear. Definitely A list. Married. And his assistants have always been attractive women - Matt Damon dated one of them for quite a while.

  12. since the bullshit this blog pulled with the timmy shimmy crap, i'm guessing donna reed, or maybe jim nabors, or how about paris hilton? suckers. yeah, i hear you, why don't i just not read it then....

i wonder whats up with ZX/DS? we haven't heard anything from her in a while.

  16. Like redfishbluefish, I immediately thought Ben Affleck. I hope it isn't though!! I don't know if you could consider him A+...

    ReplyDelete
  17. Well, I was going to say Clint Eastwood (don't be age elitist!), but he doesn't have anything going right now that would be promoted. His newest wife is/was a news anchor, so I thought that might be the red-herring in the clue.

It was the word choice "tough" that made me think it.

I'm throwing my lot in with the Affleck crowd, as I love to accuse him of being the subject of almost every blind item.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Hmm... how about Denzel? His wife is also an actress, and he's got a big movie about to come out.

I think he's more A+ than Penn or Affleck.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I love that people question Sean Penn's validity on the A list when he's been prominent in the industry for what- 20 years now?? But Yet not Ben Affleck, who hasn't done anything substantial since Good Will Hunting.

BTW, just looked at Penn's imdb to see how long he's been in the biz, and it says since 1974(3 oscar noms and 1 win btw).

I thought Tim's comment was funny, btw.

Sean Penn is definitely A list. He won Best Actor Oscar just a few years back for Mystic River. (The year Johnny Depp was robbed for it for Pirates of the Caribbean)

  22. Is this Ben Affleck's assistant?

  23. i too think tim's comment was funny, made me smile!

i got no clue as usual so i'm not even going to hasard a guess except to say i dont think it's costner cos if he's still consideered Alist then i guess we're all stuck in 1990 or somethng.

Heather, i too was stunned to see ads on this site; how times change, huh?

  24. is it a requirement for celebs to be douches?

    ReplyDelete
  25. my first thought was clint eastwood - wife is an actress

tom hanks was also a great guess

also robin williams (mrs actor sounded like mrs doubtfire)

michael douglas but he has only directed 1 episode

    ReplyDelete
  26. Is Ben Affleck A-list? Seems like a stretch. Gotta go with Sean Penn: he's at that male-menopause age. And Robin Wright -- still great-looking and a terrific actress -- is probably just like most women on this issue: they don't know what they don't wanna know.

    ReplyDelete
  27. P.S. Is Warren Beatty still A-list? Does he have a film coming out?

    ReplyDelete
  28. Tom Hanks has "Charlie Wilson's War" coming out, big big Oscar bait.

When I hear A+list, that means Hanks. Penn may be A list, but that "+" makes me immediately think of Hanks.

    ReplyDelete
  29. I know there have been many debates ad nauseum about how The List grades are earned.

I guess if A list means everybody's heard of him and could pick him out of a line-up, then both Affleck and Penn would be A list.

If it means you'd risk $10 to see a movie just because he's starring in it ... then I'm not sure either one would be, because they've both made some really bizarre choices.

Affleck has chosen some real junk, and Penn chooses things that are really dark or violent and I'm hard pressed to think either could guarantee a huge opening weekend.

    But that's just me.

I'd absolutely hate to think it's Tom Hanks, because I've always believed he was one of the last good guys in Hollywood.

  30. Why not Tom Cruise?
I mean, besides the banter about him being gay and all, AND, didnt katie say that when she was a kid she said, "thats the man Im going to marry"?
i mean, that kind of makes this:
"why she thinks she is going to be the next Mrs. Actor."
    look like a hint.

    ReplyDelete
  31. AND-We know tom cruise is a cheater
    ...coughpenelopecruzcough...

  32. Those ads have been here for awhile...they used to be on the right hand side and way down further - it's like the template for the blog got moved around.

I find them annoying up there as well...hopefully ent's geek can fix it.

For the blind - there just aren't that many actors out there with those criteria - Tom Hanks is a good one, but we've guessed him for another blind - the one about the husband/wife not being pictured together etc.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Michael Douglas and CZJones. He is out promoting his new indy flick right now

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hey, how come we're ignoring the Denzel Washington guess? He has directed, and his wife was an actress, she has imdb credits.

I've heard that he isn't always faithful to his wife, either.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I think I'm in the Denzel crowd.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I say Sean Penn. He and the Mrs have a notoriously tumultuous relationship...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Actually, I am wondering if this isn't Matt Damon? Married, on the road promoting his new film (most recently at TIFF). Has dated assistants in the past. Matt is definitely A-list now. It would be too bad, though, as he seems happy with Lucianna and their baby...

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lazy Kate, I have to agree with you!!! I am hearing about him not being happy in his current marriage. This totally fits him to a T!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I can't see that Matt Damon has directed anything...

    ReplyDelete
  40. It can't be Matt Damon because his wife is not an actress.

It can't be Ben Affleck because Ent. has recently said he used to be A list but is now B list (in the reveal)

It can't be Warren Beatty because he isn't promoting a film right now.

I think it's either Michael Douglas, Sean Penn or Tom Hanks. All have actress wives and all have movies soon to be released or in production.
