Today's Blind Items
Wow. This is a tough one to classify. It is almost where I want to give you the name just to see how you would classify her. The problem is that she has done so many things besides acting. Lets go with B- list, but definitely A list name recognition just for her name alone. She isn't gorgeous, but she is cute, and has a nice personality. I think the crew on one of her movies would agree that she definitely has personality at night. See, that is when she starts hitting the J&B. Yep. Big fan of it and when she starts drinking she also starts screwing. No need to hide or pretend or anything. She will go straight up to whatever crew member strikes her fancy that night and ask them point blank if they want to have sex with her. Goes on all during filming. In the mornings though. Different personality completely. Horrible hangovers and lots of extra makeup. She is married, but most people don't realize it and she is currently dating someone openly.

ReplyDeleteLiz Hurley is a great guess. Even after Grant, she seemed more famous for who she associated with and events attended. The only flaw is she had a pretty big wedding to an Indian prince. It caused a lot of controversy because of the cost of the wedding when the country is so poor.

ReplyDeleteShe's cute, has A list name recognition, and has done many things: written a book, done comedy circuits, in addition to acting. She doesn't seem to be the type that would be shy about her own sexuality or deny herself because of appearances.

This is a tough one. I don't think it's Dolly though because anyone who got inducted into the Kennedy Center is pretty much "A" list forever. She's known as a singer first before anything, so I don't think it's her. She's always said she's had an open marriage and that she will never leave her husband. I remember reading that when I was a teenager. I'm 39 now.

"Cute" to me (I could be wrong) seems to indicate someone petite, and JG kinda fits that bill. The tall glamazons, not so much. And JLove is primarily an actress, to the extent that it wouldn't be "hard to classify" her.

ReplyDeleteI spent winter in Ireland once when I was 23- you better believe I drank whiskey, lots of it. Mostly Bushmills, but sometimes Jameson (if I had to) or Tillamore Dew. My Spanish roommate- who was 25, and a total fox with men falling left and right for her- also drank whiskey. Hey, in Ireland, in December, in January, in February- it's cold and wet ALL THE TIME. A hot whiskey does a lot to stave off the frostbite. That's all I'm sayin'.
So, whiskey drinking, is either for the old and male, the young and cold, or the hardcore alkie of any age.
So, nothing for the blind. I'm guessing a model/actress/R&B singer/fire-eater/acrobat. Mostly just because no one yet has guessed acrobat.
I'm thinking someone like J.Lo. Not her because she is a well-known bitch and obviously married, but her name branding is A list and she is all over the place: singer/ dancer/ actress/ clothes/ perfume, etc. So somebody whose name is all over the place and has their hand in a lot of things. I agree that Jeneane is the best guess so far but I'm having trouble thinking of anyone else that fits this.

ReplyDeleteNo guesses, but I'm seeing a possible point of contention - when Ent says "tough one to classify" I assumed he was referring to what list she falls on (A, B, C...), not her vocation.

This is not the hard part to me. We need to be thinking of someone who is mainly an actress - probably not such a great or major award-winning one - but who has done other things with enough mild success or at least notoriety in each endeavor that it makes it hard to determine where she places on the food chain.
For this reason I think Jennifer Love Hewitt was a good guess (though I'm not sure I'm completely sold on her) because I'm not sure where I'd classify her. She's hard to rank because there's a difference between knowing who someone is, and actually caring who they are. She has been acting a long time but I've seen her get a fair share of hate for 'getting by' on looks and having no actual talent. (Personally, I don't think she's a horrible actress, just nothing to write home about. She is pretty IMO.) But she also has her fans.
I'm blanking on some of the other things she has done but I know there was the attempt at music, she has produced 43 episodes on Ghost Whisperer, and she has the Hanes endorsement; that's a national brand and technically puts her in the same category as Michael Jordan and Cuba Gooding Jr. (Oscar winner). So how DO you rank that? I think that's why he'd want to throw the name out. I have a feeling where people rank her would be based more on personal opinion (or lack thereof) of her, rather than on her career as a whole. I think B- is about right.
I vaguely remember her being engaged a while back to an 'everyday person' so I guess she married that guy, but I bet a lot of people don't know she's married. Here's something I never would have thought: I just looked at her IMDB and she's #96 on the Forbes Celebrity 100 List for 2008. My first thought was, why??? but that just lends more credence to not knowing where the hell to rank her.
But, the reason I'm not completely behind her is because I do not know of any movies she is working on at the moment (unless TV movies count? That would be funny). Keep in mind that that the other 'things' aren't limited to just career, it could be someone infamous for doing wacky/scandalous stuff or getting into trouble or simply just known for dating lots of different people and riding that wave of buzz.
Anyway, that was a lot but I'd say if it's not JLH we need to be thinking of someone along those lines. Mid-tier actress who has been known to do other stuff, but emphasis on actress.

Janeane has gone on the record about her alcoholism and now sobriety. She lost weight and had some plastic surgery and looks really great now. She is defintely the best she has looked ever, so I am inclined to believe her sobriety.

first thing i learned to drink was jim beam, jack daniel's and courvosie, none of which i can spell, but its what my family drank, and with a southern background, it's what i grew up on.
