What Do You Think?
Anonymous is at it again. This time, they have announced they are going to picket the New Village Academy. That is the school out here that Will Smith and his open marriage spouse Jada Pinkett Smith recently opened.
I already spent time previously talking about how it really is just one big Scientology school. Sure, they can call it independent and say they don't espouse any one philosophy, but that is just a bunch of crap. They have more Scientology courses on offer than probably most schools which admit to being Scientology funded schools. I'm surprised the kids don't have an e-meter on their back to school list or that they have a personal auditing session during lunch.
Anyway, Anonymous wants to picket the school and bring down their terror upon Will Smith and his open marriage spouse Jada Pinkett Smith. I'm just wondering if this open relationship has a better chance of scoring a Jada/Tom hookup, Will/Tom hookup, or Jada/Katie hookup.
You know I love Anonymous and anything to bring attention to their cause is good, but I have a little problem with this picketing. They are going to picket a school. You know, where innocent kids who have no idea what is going on will be. You never know when something will happen or tempers will flare and maybe some kid gets in the middle. I'm not saying it could or would happen, just saying that they can go picket the houses of the teachers or principal or Will and Jada, and leave the kids alone. Who knows what the picketers will be yelling and I'm sure they would be directing many of their yells at kids who won't know what to say or why they are being targeted. Many of the kids attending are in pre-school and kindergarten, and so I just think that perhaps there is a better way to achieving the goal of shutting down the school or removing the proposed curriculum.
I could be wrong of course. What do you think about picketing and kids?
SIDENOTE INFO for the cda nighters...
ReplyDeletejada is bisexual and is the one who introduced will into 'the switch-hitters' lifestyle. he was wet behind the ears before he met jada. although some say benny medina may have taken a shot at will.
jada loves, loves the women. jada was TOO MUCH for tupac whom she knew back in bmore. how can you be too out there for 'pac? damn.
just some tidbits...
You're right, Enty, leave the poor kids alone. Mobs of people are scary.
ReplyDeleteInteresting, qs, thanks.
ReplyDeleteCompletely agreed, Ent. Keep the kids out of the protests.
I agree, go picket the Smiths, they set the school up not the children. Why make them feel the wrath of these crazies? I am glad we don't have schools like that where I am!
ReplyDeleteI don't agree with picketing at all. Like, wtf is it supposed to do? Change things? No, all you're doing is demonstrate that you have an opinion, and with it, you alienate anyone that doesn't share it instead of educating them on your issue and make them understand. People at my work went on strike a few years back. For several months, they stood outside the building, ate donuts, and called people names, all day and some of the night. Then they were upset that the company didn't give them more money. I still don't understand what they expected to get out of it.
ReplyDeleteYeah. don't get me started on picketing.
off topic
ReplyDeleteoh, forgot to add that many think that the guy in the page six rape BI was will smith and tyson beckford.
some are saying that it was rough sex gone wrong. i hope so because i do like will smith. **shrugs, smh**
but there are sick, perverted people in the entertainment industry.
So Enty, are you trying to slyly hint they have an open marriage?
ReplyDeleteNot so sly.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a problem with Anonymous picketing a school because I've seen their protests. They don't say word. They just stand there handing out flyers and politely answer questions if a passer-by wants more info. They go out of their way to avoid verbal/physical confrontation.
ReplyDeleteIf they're at the school, the only thing they're going to do is stand there, silently, wearing their masks and hand out flyers.
What was the Page Six blind item?
ReplyDeleteHm...I found one of their protests online (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TNBbuRklLfo) and it doesn't seem silent, and those masks are creepy. I take no issue with people protesting or standing up for what they believe in, but not to the detriment of innocent people who want no involvement in the happenings. Were I a kid trying to go to school and those people were outside my school in those creepy masks, I'd be terrified.
ReplyDeleteI also had issue with the rumor that they were going to sit in the theater at Katie Holmes' play and silently protest in their masks. I find that disrespectful to the other actors, who are just trying to do a job, and to the other theater patrons. You want to express your opinion, fine, but there are lines that don't need to be crossed in doing so. Have a little respect for other people.
I hope Anonymous doesn't go the PETA route.
Picketing is wrong in this instance -- may as well picket every independent and parochial school, then, if you don't agree with their philosophy.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the children's parents know perfectly well what they're doing.
As for the Page Six blind, why would a person call the sheriff if it was not rape? There's something inconsistent with the story. It could be true, but the telling of the story got muddled somewhere.
They aren't kids. They are underdeveloped men and women. Fair game. Rock on, Anon.
ReplyDeleteI support Anon on this. If it brings attention to this school then good. It's a cover for a cult. The kids will be fine. Anon is not going to chase them or yell at them or anything like that. Hopefully it will get people to ask questions as to who really is behind this school (Jada Smith has home schooled her kids in Scientology for years) and what are the courses. If people were to look into the language of the school info or website and compare it to Scientology they would see they go hand in hand.
ReplyDeleteGo Anon Go!
I've read some interviews by Jada and she doesn't strike me as the swinger type. I don't believe it.
ReplyDeleteand what would you expect her to say in an interview that would identify her as a swinger? i'm just curious.
ReplyDelete@ q. southerner: you say will was wet behind the ears?
that's a LOT of wet!!
heh.
i say, let them quietly protest, off school grounds, sit at a table, hand out flyers. but no scary masks near the kids. man, i don't even like disney characters.
but i wish those guys would come out here to protest the leona valley narconon (scio center) they are building. nobody wants them, even if they were legit. they seeded their people throughout the small community to "win" permission to build. and it's WAAAAY too close to home.
I wonder how many people are going to send their kids to this school, regardless of its philosophical underpinnings, because it was opened by a celebrity.
ReplyDeleteDigawina:
ReplyDeleteAnon has large monthly protests outside the scientology centre on Yonge St. in Toronto and I've never seen them do anything except stand there quietly with placards and flyers.
Ent, you've hit one of my buttons here.
ReplyDeleteProtesting a kis' school? It may be legal, but it still bothers me. Could give some poor kids nightmares.
What really gets me is the "church" that pickets gay soldiers' funerals. Completely inappropriate. And if those people knew anything at all about the Bible and Christian beliefs, they'd realize how horrible this is...all they are doing is hurting people. I'd like to go picket their church - noisely during a Sunday service.
Sorry for the tangent peeps, but this has been on my mind.
Anon may be quiet, but don't $cientologists come out and scream at people who don't agree with them? The parents might freak the kids out more than Anon.
ReplyDeleteI feel a little torn here because I HATE Scientology. Just a big ripoff and it discourages people who need treatment for mental health issues from receiving it. So I'm fine with any protest---except if it involves kids. Little preschoolers who are being brainwashed by the Scientologists still deserve to go to school in peace without being scared by some weird grownups wearing masks. Sounds like Will and Jada's kids might already be scared by that scenario, but at home.
ReplyDeleteAnonymous can be quiet and peaceful, or they can yell and play Rick Astley & the Fresh Prince theme all day. You never know what you're going to get really.
ReplyDeleteScientology isn't quiet, why should Anon be. It shouldn't be here. Should a cult that has children attending it be allowed to not be picketed? I don't know. A cult is a cult. Those poor kids need to be saved.
ReplyDeletePicket where you want but, LEAVE THE SCHOOL AND THE CHILDREN ALONE. We have enough problems with our children being afraid to go to school. We do not have to add to this. Children are OFF LIMITS..
ReplyDeleteI don't believe in Scientology, but I do believe in children and there rights to be safe. Pickets are known to get out of hand and I would hate to see a small child in the middle of something like that.
What's next someone that doesn't believe in the Luthern Faith, or Catholic Faith, or the way the Quakers, the Jews, or the Irish are raising their children. I think that American's forget why people came to America in the first place. Wasn't it because they wanted to pray in a church of their choice, are we having the Witch hunt of Salem all over again.
I know your going to say this is a Cult. I don't know, I really haven't done my homework on this faith, but I would not punish a child for something their parents believe in.
