This Is Crack To Me

I actually counted the receipt and there were 24 boxes of crackers. Of the 24, there were four of these. Gone within the first two hours. If Nabisco would like to discuss some kind of arrangement where they can feed me these intravenously, then I would be happy to rename the blog to Crazy Days And Nights Brought To You By Chicken In A Biskit.

Oh god I fucking love those crackers. I almost got mauled by a gang of racoons for my Chicken in a Bisket once. They coulda ripped my face off just tryin' to get 'em and I swear it woulda been worth it if I'd still won out in th eend.

    Must... have... now.

  9. melissa and sarah jane: run, don't walk, to your nearest grocery store and buy a box, you won't regret it :)

  10. I've tried them and I can't stand them. Ugh. I threw out the box after I couldn't pawn them off on my kid. I don't get the hype.

  11. OMG, I ate so many CiaBs when I was pregnant that I cannot bear the sight or smell of them now. The thought of them is appealing, but as soon as I open the box, BLEAGH!

To make matters worse, I usually dipped them in Uncle Dan's Ranch Dressing, and now I can't stand that stuff either. (Actually, that's probably a good thing..) Prego cravings are so weird and unexplainable.

Now if you're talkin' Chili Cheese Fritos, I can eat those until my blood sodium level is off the charts and my fingers are swollen little sausages. Most addictive substance known to humankind!

  12. I think the reason I never tried these was because they used to be made with chicken. I don't know if the recipe changed, but the idea of chicken in a cracker was too weird.

  13. OMG-- These things are sinfully great. Add a little smear of cream cheese (low fat of course :-) ) and it is so very heaven.

Jax, you need to come down here and try some of these (and some other good ol' Southern cooking.)

eeny beeny - CC Fritos - addictive. I just avoid the aisle in the grocery store. Forget Cheetos - CC fingers (kind of dark orange, with the dark orange collecting in the corner of your mouth with a little bit of salty peppery burn) - THAT is worth busting a healthy diet for....

  14. The receptionist here just filled our cookie jar with something similar. Its taking every ounce of willpower to not raid the jar.

  15. I love Chicken in a Biskit. I've tried knockoff brands, but they just don't compare.
I'm really more of a Bugles or Combos addict when it comes to crunchy and salty, though.

CiB is not my fave. I'm with blahfrickinblah.

And enty, after 4 boxes of those (fiber) and downing it with all that alcohol you claim to put yourself to sleep with, your ass must've been sore crappin' that brick out on Sunday.

  18. CiaB's ROCK!!! I also lived on them during early pregnancy, but I didn't ruin myself on them. And yes, they gotta be the Nabisco brand. Generic sucks.

  22. I can remember trying these once and not loving them. Taste buds change so if I remember next time I'm in the store, I'll pick up box.

  23. Enty sweetie, did you have any boxes of Sociables in there? Those are MY addictions. I like CiaB, but I will let you eat every last one if I can eat the Sociables!!!!!

  24. "Chicken in a Biskit" and "Cheez Waffies" .. my FAVORITE crack .. er um .. I mean snack foods! You open the package and that is it .. they are gonna be gone. No hope of keeping them for more than that moment of time. They are like the edible equivalent of rainbows, soap bubbles and orgasms.

  25. I prefer Pringles. I eat the whole can and don't share with my kids.

  26. Ent, since high school we've done these with a little baby swiss and cheap wine. (it WAS high school) Now we can have cheap crackers (LOVE these damn things) with good swiss and great wine! seriously, they're THAT good!

  27. Definitely food porn.

I'm pretty sure autolyzed yeast extract is high on the list--it's the ingredient they use to make anything taste like anything else.

And they are addicting as hell, but just remember to suck down as much water afterward as possible!

  29. Nabisco's makes the most addictive crackers in the universe! I have never had CinB, but I love their new Ritz Toasted Chips (original). I can go through a box in one sitting....

Heh heh where's Enty? Its ten am!

If we tracked him down he'd probably still be in a corner with an overbloated belly, belt buckle undone, puddle of drool and cracker crumbs on the floor...passed out...20 boxes of Chicken in a Biskit and a dead hooker on the other side of the room...LOL.
