When Tabloids Can't Decide
Sunday night I was standing at the checkout stand in the grocery store and is my custom I scanned all the headlines of the tabloids and weeklies and I saw a headline on one that said "John and Jen's $150M Pre-Nup" which would lead anyone to assume they were about to get married and the only thing holding it up were deciding how to split the money in the inevitable divorce. But, earlier in the day I had read online that John and Jen were done and John had broken up with her again while another report said that Jen broke up with John. You really can't keep up. One friend who read one thing thinks they are right and another thinks they are right because they read something else and the next thing you know the two friends are yelling at each other about Jennifer and John.
Meanwhile, over on the other side of the world, I saw a report that said Amy Winehouse had moved to a different part of her holiday resort so she could have more privacy with her new boyfriend who happens to be a fitness instructor. Yeah, well spend a weekend with Amy and you will never get fit again. Apparently this tabloid thinks Amy is done with her marriage for good and is setting up house with this fitness guy and she will be her new husband after Blake divorces her. OK, well then how come another tabloid says today that Amy applied to see Blake in prison and is desperate to see him and to get him to change his mind about the divorce and wants nothing else but to be with him. It is all very confusing.
oh don't worry John and Jen will be back on soon....she's got another round of movie promotion to do soon for he's just not that into you....then he'll go away again
ReplyDeleteIt's always been like this. Where have you been?
ReplyDeleteI firmly believe that the tabs don't know anything- they just make up stuff that sounds plausible, attribute it to a "source", and run it on the front page.
ReplyDeleteIt is no different than the Weekly World News doctoring photos of the martian baby.
I was watching E! last night and Jen was on to promote her movie with Scarlett, Drew Barrymore, and Ginnifer Goodwin and she seemed completely out of it. She had to have been on something-it was kind of uncomfortable.
ReplyDeleteWhile they ARE crap, I thought they used to run the SAME crap at the same time.
ReplyDeletewhat's really funny, is, like a lot of people, i keep a stack of magazines on the toilet tank. this week, i hit the bottom of the pile and found (i admit it) a people magazine.
ReplyDeletefrom last year's oscars.
it's hysterical to read last year's buzz a year later and compare to what really happened. i'm enjoying it immensely!
i also get a big kick out of, how every couple of years, the star or one of the other crappy rags will have a cover story about "life found on_____!! amazing pictures of ancient statue!!" and it's the same damn pic they've been using of the "face on the moon" for the past 30 years. we used to post those when we worked at JPL. terribly embarrassing to buy the things, though!
Bunny, TMZ had a shot of Dustin Hoffman buying The Globe, so no need for us mere mortals to be embarrassed. :)
ReplyDeleteI miss The Weekly World News.
ReplyDeletelol @ moosh!
ReplyDeleteIf Wino continues to emulate the lifestyle of her men, this may not be a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteDon't care about Anniston and Mayer, together or apart.
Am so tired of *poor jen* - don't even think she deserves a capital letter in her name. Does she not realize that her existence does not depend on another person? That she has herself to look towards first? For the good and the bad and the blame? They call Mayer a player and a tool, I believe at this point that she is one too.
