Crazier Than Octuplet Mom

If you thought the octuplet mom story was something you haven't seen a damn thing yet. I saw this story last night but forgot about it in my nightly drunken haze. Luckily Ror, who seems to control his liquor better e-mailed it to me and reminded me about it. So, thanks to Ror for that. What you see in the photo above is not a brother and sister admiring their younger sister. Noooooo. Why on earth would I show that? Well, I would I guess if it was important, but, I'm losing focus. No, this is way crazier than that.

Those two people holding the baby are the parents of that little girl. Yes!! I know. The boy is 13 and he looks, what, about 7? His girlfriend and the mother of his child is 15. This is absolutely nuts to me. And lest you think this couple is from some third world country or something, they aren't. They live in the UK. They had sex when the boy Alfie was just 12. It was just a one night thing and when they found out Chantelle was pregnant they decided to have the baby. Alfie of course was worried his parents would be a bit upset. Apparently they are taking it quite well. Alfie of course has no f**king idea how much babies cost or the price of a diaper or formula or anything else. He did say that his dad sometimes gives him as much as $15 a week and he hopes that will be enough to take care of the baby.

For now, the baby and Chantelle live at Chantelle's house. She has five brothers and her only parent is her dad who currently doesn't have a job. Alfie is allowed to spend the night at the house and even has his school uniform there so he can go straight to school in the mornings. Umm, my math sucks but is there any chance that dad and daughter could ever end up in school at the same time. If he went to a private school with K-12 and he is in 7th grade say. Then when he is a senior than potentially he could go to the same school as his daughter. Wow. That just blows my mind.

  1. This is sad. He looks a lot like my 8 year old. The article claims they had sex one time and she got pregnant, which of course is possible. The article also said that his voice has not changed, so I wonder if he has even gone through puberty. His parents should demand a paternity test to make sure that they are not using him to cover for the real father.

  2. I disagree. While this is sad on every level, I don't hate the parents. They are trying to do the right thing given the circumstances.

  3. Jesus what a world we live in - my kid is 13 and i guarantee he's in no way ready to be a dad

  4. I knew a woman that was 21 years old and had a baby with a 14 year old teenage boy. No she didn't go to jail but I lost every bit of respect for her as a woman.

  7. i saw the story this morning. very disturbing to say the least. this should have been very quiet and far away from the media.

  8. strange. he looks like a baby.

  9. ...and that is why you should educate your children about sex, instead of pretending it doesn't exist. No matter how young they are. They need to know where babies come from.

And no, "the stork" or "god" will not do.

  10. Can't blame anyone but the umm...grandparents on this one. Seriously people, have an interest in your kids lives! It's not snooping or prying. It's loving your kids, and making sure they are safe and making good choices!

  11. Those poor kids. And that poor baby.

    There are just no words.

  12. There is no way that boy is 13. NO way at all.

  13. I have teenagers, and in no way does that kid look thirteen. He's still a baby himself. And $15 barely buys Pampers or formula. Very depressing.

  14. no shit Harriet! if you think kids in the US are growing up fast, take a peak at news in the UK, all kinds of messed up.

What, so they can make another baby?

Well, not really, because if Alfie isn't going through puberty, he's not capable of fathering a kid. My money's on the unemployed dad or one of the brothers as the sperm donor.

  16. I saw this this morning too and the pictures just freaked me out. I would put the DNA police on this, too. However, I will say, my step-son looked very young at 13 -- so I'm not necessarily doubting his age....but this is all sorts of wrong...

  17. I'm with you guys on the DNA test, this kid looks tiny, he is less than 4 feet tall, according to the article in The Daily Mail.
I wonder what happened to this girl in a house with 5 brothers. Are they older, younger? Have they abused her? Why would she even be attracted to a kid like him? So many questions...

  18. crazy, sad and sick! what do adult?

  19. This sick stuff happened
100s of years ago in small communities where social opportunities were verrry limited to say the least. Doesn't need to happen now.
Hats off to the Sun for bringing it to our attention-Hey, we're not so freaky over here!

  20. I don't know...I am so used to 13 year olds looking older that I do that I am not sure what a regular 13 year old looks like anymore. If his voice has not changed then he may be about to hit a growth spurt...when I was in 6th grade most of the girls were taller and older looking than the boys bc they hit puberty earlier…I have always been extremely short so this phenomenon did not apply to me.

The kid's statement about supporting the baby with $15 a month was what resonated the most with me. He obviously has NO CLUE about being a parent (not that I would expect him to!). It made me think of when I used to tell my mom to "just write a check" or "put it on the credit card" when she said she didn't have money for something.

as a person with black and latino relatives, wtf did you mean by saying he was dating a *choco taco* yesterday???????

The kid looks like a baby to me. The girl looks older than 15. I believe in sex education to avoid problems like this. One of my nephews got his gf pregnant. He is not ready to be an adult. He still plays with video games and goes out with his friends like before. He doesn't understand that once you become a parent their is a big change in your life from what you did before to now. I give the marriage a year or 2.

  24. that kid shows no signs of puberty--I wonder is she was pregnant by someone else, & tricked him into trying to have sex with her to pin him as the father.

  25. At least the girl is 15 and not 35 like Mary Kay LaTourno!

  26. Jax - I know what you're talking about. Apparently, they're not as loving to kids and young adults there as they are on the other side of the ocean.

What disturbs me so much is that the father looks so much younger than 13. I'm not surprised that he's actually a father, because where I grew up in Northern California, there were so many young parents like these 2. Sad, but true.

  27. Wouldn't have thought he had it in him, dirty little tyke. Just got to hope he leaves it a few years before trading her in for a younger woman.

  28. AnonMom, Jax,

please don't think that's everybody over here!

But there's a hopeless, mostly unemployed (and unemployable) underclass here, living on benefits for generation after generation, with little in the way of morals or intelligence. It's only getting worse, and here's the proof.
In another case which recently came to trial, a woman arranged the 'kidnap' of one of her seven kids (by five fathers). She did it to make money out of appeals and to claim the reward when she was 'found'. She cried for her loss on tv, clutching the girl's doll, all the while knowing the kid was being kept drugged and hidden under a bed by a family friend. It beggars belief..)

Like many Brits, I'm torn between pity and irritation. My taxes are paying for these parasitic wastes of space - but how did it get this way, and how can we fix it so that kids like Alfie, Chantelle and their baby can have a future?

  30. if, according to the article, the boy lives on an "estate", why aren't the girl and baby living there instead of in an already crowded household? and why isn't there more than $15US being kicked in?, especially if the girl's family is on the public dole?

when i was a kid in the south, a girl left school at 12 or 13 to have a baby. she and the boy married, and she re-appeared about 2 years later, already divorced.
again, it doesn't just happen in the south, and that was a very long time ago.

    ReplyDelete
  31. IIRC, this kind of "estate" is more along the lines of an apartment building complex--I'd say it was public housing, but I think the usual term for that is "council housing"--so his family wouldn't exactly be rolling in money either.

    Poor kids...all 3 of them...

  33. I am more disturbed than anything by how young he looks, as most are. I think everywhere there are very very young people having children but with this kid being sooooo underdeveloped physically my main thought was how creepy the girl was to have sex with him. I dont know what you would call it but to me it is almost like pedofilia or something, he is very small and i get a weird o creepy vibe from her, i feel like she grabbed him at school and molested him in the bathroom or something at recess.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Robin, Bunny,

in this sense, an 'estate' does mean council housing, whether flats (apartments) or small row houses. (Think 'projects'). Estates can be ok, or they can be hellholes. Either way, they are mostly working class enclaves.

Actually, nowadays it's more likely to be non-working class enclaves, since many estates have a lot of inhabitants on benefits. Sometimes it's their choice, sometimes, not.

  35. Nope. Octomom is the winner by a mile. These kids are YOUNG and stupid. They haven't done anything wrong. They made a mistake, but didn't do anything immoral or criminal.

Octomom is ALL kids of immoral and criminal and mentally ill.

  36. tania - generational welfare recipients are everywhere as well as kids growing up in families of half-brothers and sisters. Don't worry, we don't think the UK is any more f'd up than anywhere else.

I think Jasmine and others are right - he could be a pansy. If I was this boy's mom, the baby would get a blood test right away.

I wonder why they're not living with his mom and dad. Seems less crowded, and baby would probably get better sleep.

  37. I just think it's sad that this girl would have sex with a 13 year old who looks like he's in grade 6... she was 14 and had sex with a 12 yar old who must have looked 5 at the time!!! It's super gross....

    ReplyDelete
  38. Does seem unlikely that he's the father if he hasn't hit puberty.

Something seems wrong here. I really hope this girl is not being abused by any of the men/boys in her family.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Enty, the girl lives with her MOM and dad. Her mom is the parent who figured out she was pregnant. The boy lives with his dad (his parents are separated). Seems like kind of an important fact to get right (young girl living with just dad and 5 brothers versus living with mom and dad + 5 brothers).

  40. Thanks, Shakey. Yeah, it's everywhere...

Looks like PR parasite Max Clifford is arranging a DNA test because two other boys (who at least look as if they could father a child) say they've been having sex with Chantelle. One of them says he's been sleeping with her at her home, with the permission of her mother. Remember, this girl is 15.
    Words fail me....

  41. They can be in school together. In the UK, high school starts at about twelve through 18. There is no middle school.
