Remember When Nick Lachey Used To Be Famous?
According to the NY Daily News, Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lemon Jello are on the rocks and due to break up at any moment. Their source says it is because Nick thinks Vanessa is holding him back career wise. Uh huh. Yeah, I can see why with all the spotlight she steals from Nick. Come on. Have you ever seen Vanessa do anything other than shop? Her decision to leave TRL was not very well thought out because that whole movie career thing didn't really materialize. Note to actors and actresses. Being cast in a spoof movie does not make you a real actress. It means you are identifiable enough to be the punch line in a joke.
Vanessa hasn't done anything to hurt Nick's career. Nick's career just doesn't really have any place to go. Did you even know he had a new single out? Well apparently the rest of the world didn't get the memo either because it peaked at #75. At least Jessica's country album debuted at #1 before burning a fiery exit from the charts. Yes, he is the producer of a show on MTV, but no one watches it which means the chances of him getting another show on the air is probably zilch unless he is starring in it.
Nick is a very likable guy, but unless he can afford some really good songwriters I think his best hope is to become a television show host or do another reality show. If he keeps banking on the whole music thing, I'm not sure it will work.

I read at another gossip site that they have been on the out's for a good while. I wonder if Vanessa coming out on those weird pics had anything to do with their relationship going down the tube. I haven't seen her in anything and the last thing Nick came out was on Charmed. He is not the greatest actor but he was not bad either.
Was it the full frontal pix from Mexico that did it?? I thought they did those on purpose.
If by some chance Nick and Jessica got back together, I wonder if it would revive both of their careers.

i don't have anything against the guy. he gives off a good vibe. but as for lemon jello, i think she's prob just finally woken up to the fact that she's the rebound girl and has been an idiot to have stuck around for so long.
I know that you guys aren't the sort to pan somebody because of their looks. But, it's hard to avoid the obvious...what has happened to her? Just not the pretty girl she was.
What pics did I miss? I always liked him. Her, not so much.

I like the tv host idea. Nick would be kind of like John Davidson or Chuck Woolery.

Maybe by "holding back his career" what Nick really meant was "Bitch, you see I'm not making that much money, so stop blowing through it all!"
Besides being the rebound girl Vanessa probably has realized that in the gold-digging Olympics she didn't even make it past the preliminary round. Nick is cute and seems like a nice guy but I could have told her dude isn't exactly a power player.
I'd watch Nick on 'Dancing With The Stars' - I'd even watch her. Time to wring out the final seconds of their five minutes.
A "very likeable guy"? You have got to be kidding me. He and Lemon Jello were both passengers on a flight I work about a year ago (flying into his native Cincinnati for the KY Derby) and they were both first class, grade-A assholes.
His brother Drew is the nice and likeable one. Nick is a jerkoff and a skeeze, and not at all attractive imo.
Is that portrait hanging next to the bedroom furniture a likeness of one of Michael Jackson's special little friends?
His show is really pretty good, but I may be biased since I live in Cincinnati
