ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm also thanking you for the Julian and Sean photo. I got to interview Julian in the late 1980s (by phone). I went out of my way not to ask him about his dad, but every once in a while, he'd say something and mention "Dad," and even though I was taking notes, my brain when, "Dad! He's talking about John Lennon!!!!" or he'd say "Paul" and I knew he meant Paul McCartney. It was so surreal.
He was very nice and answered all my questions. Wasn't in a hurry and didn't seem all drugged out. Then he came to town (DC then) to do a show and I was supposed to meet him backstage, but he was high or drunk and the show was terrible so I didn't even bother going backstage.
I think he's all clean now, and that's good. Wish I'd hear more from him because he really does have talent.

Seeing Robert Pattinson working the 'showgirl arm' pose is hysterical. Michelle Yeoh is always a pleasure to see. . .
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've read, Pattinson must have been monumentally hungover for that photoshoot! There's an article and a pic of him, clearly massively 'over-refreshed', being helped off a yacht the night before.
