NY Post Blind Item
WHICH movie legend proclaims in her nightclub act, not once, but twice, "Although I love girls, I don't sleep with them" -- causing eyebrows in the room to hit the chandelier

Liza?
ReplyDeleteWhat's Debbie Reynolds up to these days?
ReplyDeleteBette Midler
ReplyDeleteThe Divine Miss M?
ReplyDeleteDebbie Reynolds hase said some really wild stuff before, so it's possibly her.
ReplyDeletei wouldn't call bette midler a 'movie legend.' she's known for her shows but not for films.
ReplyDeletethis sounds like an old timer to me---debbie reynolds may not be a bad guess. who else of the big movie era is doing a club act?
i'm on the bette midler train!
ReplyDeleteIt's Debbie...she just did a bunch of shows in NY.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Reynolds is performing at the Cafe Carlyle in NYC
ReplyDeleteHow is this a blind item? If tons of people are witnessing this, it seems odd to mask her identity...
ReplyDeleteHas Shirley MacLaine retired? She had a nightclub act a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteIt's not Bette Midler. For one thing, she isn't a movie legend. For another, I saw her show in LV (not a nightclub) and she says a lot of risque things but not that... besides, I think if she was gay, she'd just come out with it.
ReplyDeleteWay OT--has anyone seen Bruno's cover shot on the upcoming GQ?
ReplyDeleteI just saw it and to me SBC is SEXY as HELL, no matter how idiotic he's acting at whatever moment!
Cybil Shepard has a nightclub act...
ReplyDeleteI think it's Debbie Reynolds. I read a review of her night club act and it said that she says some risque crap and one thing in particular made some of the older people cringe.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Reynolds for sure.
ReplyDeletecalifblondy - I agree with the Debbie Reynolds guess. I just read a review of her act today (VV?).
ReplyDeleteselena, i can leave sasha alone. he seems to try too hard at getting laughs. i can't get into him.
ReplyDeleteI'm on the Debbie train. Wait...that doesn't sound right...
ReplyDeleteselenakyle, could not agree more about SBC. HOT!
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why sometimes these are blind. I mean, this person is saying this publicly, during a performance - why is it blind??
ReplyDeleteI have no idea.. but I want to be Shirley McLain (Ouiser to be more precise) when I grow up... wait.. I'm almost there... ;)
ReplyDeleteTea Lady, the Debbie train you made me envision is all KINDS of wrong. LOL
ReplyDeleteRocketQueen, because it's fun to guess! :) If they're public like this, then we can usually look forward to finding out the answer on reveal days.
ReplyDeleteOops, and of course this one isn't an Enty item, so that's not the case here. But still, the blind items get a lot more attention than the regular news stories.
ReplyDeleteI guess everyone here is too young to remember when Bette Midler was in "The Rose"....smash hit.
ReplyDeletethat doesn't make her a 'movie legend.' i remember every movie she was in, but she's known more for being a performer than acting in films. she's more like a 'legendary performer' who was in some movies.
ReplyDelete@ Mooshki - fair enough. I guess I'm reading it and the comments after all, aren't I? :D
ReplyDeleteCounting down to reveal day.
ReplyDeleteDecades ago, there were rumors circulating that Debbie Reynolds was gay, so it would make sense if this is her.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pretty well established fact with industry people in L.A. (about Debbie Reynolds).
ReplyDeleteDitto on what Judi and PPB said. DR is rumored to be gay, which is probably why this is a blind.
