Man Leaves New Bride In Airport Bathroom

This happened last week, but because I am slow I am only discovering this fine gem this week. I'm guessing that perhaps the honeymoon of this newlywed couple didn't go exactly as planned. A woman has stated she wants a divorce from her week long husband because he left her in an airport bathroom. The couple got married. Everything went great. They spent a week in Malaysia for their honeymoon. The first sign that something was not right about the marriage was that the bride paid for the honeymoon.

On the way back home after their honeymoon, the plane connected in Saudia Arabia. The bride decided she needed to use the bathroom. The husband got tired of waiting for her and so boarded the plane back home. Well, of course when the bride came out of the bathroom she searched everywhere for her husband. She finally thought to see if he was at the gate for their flight where she discovered the flight had already departed, and in fact, her husband was on the flight.

The Saudi Gazette says in their report that the man told all the relatives that his wife had decided to remain in Malaysia.

Actually, that's a pretty sane way to leave your spouse. At least he didn't try to kill her or something.

Is this a celeb/celeb-wannabe couple, or just Mr. & Ms. Joe Average? If it's some celeb couple, please let it be Hayden Christensen and Rachel Bilson. I'm so sick of her pimping out their "relationship," and all the attention she's getting out of it. She's one of the most annoying and irrelevant people on the planet.

What was the wife doing in the restroom that took that long?

Maybe she's just a serial slow-poke, and he decided to teach her a lesson by letting her miss the flight. I mean seriously, to miss your own flight means you weren't really trying too hard to catch it if you're already IN the airport.

How much time can someone spend in a public restroom? Unless the husband slipped her something that caused a
bathroom emergency, I don't understand this.

I think this is just ex-Mr and Mrs Joe Average now.

OMG - what an ass! Could you imagine how his next date will go? Oh yeah, I left my wife at a Saudi airport. Hey, where are you going?

I read it that she missed the flight because she was looking all over for the husband. HE might have thought she was taking too long in the bathroom but more than likely was just looking for a way to dump her. After all, he'd gotten his free trip to Malaysia, what's he need a bride for?

Not too bright, this chick. I'm thinking that would be the FIRST place I check.

He ain't worth marrying if he doesn't understand the need for major bathroom time. I hope she sues him for his half of the trip.

Did any of you read the last line:

"The Saudi Gazette says in their report that the man told all the relatives that his wife had decided to remain in Malaysia."

He ditched her ON PURPOSE. I really hope she's of Thai or other such Asian heritage so he ends up with a face full of battery acid.

/happened to a friend of mine's dad. for reals.

if they got married here then it will be an annulment - much simpler than divorce. she did the right thing b/c surely this is a sign of things to come. what kind of MAN leaves his wife in another country alone? anything could have happened. i'm sure this wasn't the first sign of his selfishness and she knows it that's why she's bailing.

Wow. Just an amazingly bizarre story.

Wow, K. Thanks for saying everything I would! Saves me all that typing. (In other words, I agree wholeheartedly with you.)
