Ryan O'Neal Hits On Tatum O'Neal At Farrah's Funeral

If you didn't think Ryan O'Neal was already the biggest sleaze in the world, the September Vanity Fair will change your mind. Most people who are attending the funeral of the person they lived with or were married to would be in a state of shock or grief or both. Apparently this wasn't the case with Ryan who hit on his own daughter at Farrah's funeral.

"I had just put the casket in the hearse and was watching it drive away," O'Neal, 68, said, "when a beautiful blond woman comes up and embraces me. I said to her, 'You have a drink on you? You have a car?' She said, 'Daddy, it's me -- Tatum!'

"I was just trying to be funny with a strange Swedish woman, and it's my daughter," O'Neal said. "It's so sick."

Forget for a second that the man hit on his daughter. How about the fact that he was hitting on anyone at the funeral. He doesn't think that is sick at all. The only thing he thinks is sick is that he hit on his daughter. I'm guessing it wasn't the first time he has done that. In the same interview he also says he wishes some of his kids didn't exist and that the only kid he talks to is Redmond.

File this one under "Ick. Nast."

Enty, I came here this afternoon hoping to see this story. Why would he admit this to anyone? Keep it to yourself.

Oh the man is so gross. When I first read this I thought of you Enty. I knew you would have something to say about it. :)

Like others, when I first heard about this, I was wondering what Enty would have to say about this.

Tatum's response is important though: "That's our relationship in a nutshell," Tatum said when I asked her about it. "You make of it what you will." She sighed. "It had been a few years since we'd seen each other, and he was always a ladies' man, a bon vivant."

I am so disturbed by this man.

I sorta think it makes it WORSE that he told the story.

Like - he has no shame, guilt, or embarassment. And making a public spectacle of it.

FAIL.

I saw that comment this morning and almost lost my breakfast. I agree, completely disgusting he 1)Doesn't know his own daughter; 2) Hit on someone at a funeral for the "love of his life"; 3) Proceeded to actually publicize this sick behavior. Honestly, I hope when Redmond goes to jail daddy goes with him. What a pathetic excuse of a human being.

Much as I love the phrase, I don't think "Ick. Nast." begins to cover this f*ckery.

No surprises here. I think we'll find that he is lower than even that. Scum of the earth. To think I enjoyed the movie What's Up Doc?

Okay, forget all the incest crapola for a second...a beautiful woman approaches him and the first thing he asks is "Do you have a drink on you?" What a dumbass. That's the best he can do for a pick-up line?

He also said that he shouldn't have been a father. At least he got one thing right!

He's unbelievable.

And bear in mind that he got custody of Griffin and Tatum after the divorce. Yike.

Poor Tatum, Griffin and Redmond. I like her, and she's stuck with that a-hole's genes. No wonder Farrah didn't leave him any money. She was humoring him by letting him stay around until she passed away. She wasn't going to marry him at the end and he knows it. What a complete and total loser.

This is the so-call man that was declaring Farrah as his soul-mate. How can he even think of making the moves on anyone when he is at his soul-mate funeral. This man is disgusting.

If he thought this was funny I don't think people will think that.

I knew their was a reason Farrah never got the nerve to marry this asswipe.

Cheryl said...

He was creepy in the 70's when he and a very young Tatum used to hit the Hollywood parties together as each others date. Maybe it wasn't incestuous but it was really inappropriate.

When was the last time he saw his daughter? If he didn't recognize her...what an asswipe!

Now I do believe some of the things Tatum wrote in her book.

It seemed like he was using Farrah to sell a Love Story. Wish I could lock him in a room with Joe Jackson.

well let's be fair Enty, the last time he saw Tatum, he was busy f*cking Melanie Griffith.

(sorry, had to add that because i cannot believe you did a post on this without mention of the menage a wrong!!)

It's obvious to me that he was all jacked up when he spouted off about it.

Crank and coke make it impossible to keep your mouth shut, yammering on and on to anybody about anythng, expecially intimate or inappropriate stuff.

Also totally destroys the frontal lobe where the differences btw right and wrong get all kinds of f*cked up.

I've always liked Tatum and felt very sad at her disintegration and descent into drugs, but this explains a lot.

A world class s***head. I think it's great that Farrah was onto him and shut him out of the will. I hated when he began appearing on Bones. He's a total hack...

Just when you think he can't possibly prove to be a bigger cunt...

EWWWW!! Why couldn't the Reaper have gotten him instead of Farrah?

Nosey Parker said...

Ryan says they "will" wed "as soon as she can, say yes. ... Maybe we can just nod her head."

"I promise you, we will," he told Walters. "Absolutely."

The actor says he and Fawcett have even joked about what he'll wear for the ceremony, kidding that he'll dress "like a gigolo. You know? And a little thin mustache and slicked-back hair. I don't know. We have fun, we tease about that."

Little Miss S&M, you are 100% right!!

But honestly, is anyone surprised to hear this? I'm just shocked him and Farrah's BFF weren't humping in the limo on the way home from the funeral!!

Like the oldtimer's used to say, "hanging's too good for him".

this man has issues that go far deeper than we thought.

i wonder if he's open to getting help?

Ryan O'Neal has been of no value since his anger management problems became known just after Love Story came out. Since then, I've just pretended he doesn't exist.

@ Selenakyle - appreciate the insight. I've been wondering how VF got this from him. WHO would give this interview? I'd expect "honesty" like this from the more salacious British tabloids because WHO admits to hitting on anyone at his beloved's funeral let alone hitting on his daughter b/c he didn't recognize her or regretting having children or ANY OF THE THINGS HE SAID OR DID.

Except this came from VF, which is like People used to be 20 years ago when they had feel good, nepotistic stories mixed with actual journalism. (I'm not saying VF is free of motivation. If People is "Kneepads" then VF is "2nd Base but Tries to Stretch it to 3rd and Sometimes Gets Thrown Out.")

I keep hoping this interview was a huge miscommunication somehow. As much as I dislike Ryan O'Neal (and I wasn't a fan of Farrah's either - dying first doesn't make you a better person), this interview stuns me.

I think he admitted it to beat Tatum to the punch. I woulda, too.
I am utterly disgusted that he (or anyone) would say he wishes some of his kids didn't exist. This guy has just surpassed Dina Lohan for The Worst Parent in America award.

thank god they never married, however briefly, in life.
because, yes, if he could legally be considered a widower, he could have a remarriage ceremony (i just found out about this) even after her death. i don't know what the legal ramifications would be, i was just amazed that i could be asked to do this.

I automatically forgive Tatum for everything she's ever done, is doing, and/or will do in the future. With a "father" like that it's a miracle she's ended up as adjusted as she is. I will also never forget the whole story about how Ryan apparently couldn't handle Tatum being nominated for an Oscar and thus didn't attend as her escort/"date" to the awards ceremony that year, even though she was very young and could've used her dad's support.
