Two Year Old Chinese Boy Lights And Smokes A Cigarette

I am not sure why this video has not taken off in the world of viral videos. Last I checked only 5,000 people had viewed it. In the video, a two year old boy is sitting on the handlebar of his parents bike and lights a cigarette with a lighter and then proceeds to spend the next two minutes smoking it like he has had a hundred of them in the past. Obviously they don't have child safety locks on their lighters in China. The video absolutely blows my mind and I wish there was something we could do to turn in the parents for abusing their child in this way. The way the child handles and smokes the cigarette is very practiced and so I kept looking to see if it is some kind of camera trick. I think it is real though. Take a look and judge for yourself. I can't remember what Facebook friend I took this from last night, but whoever you are, thank you.

  1. you know, there are many of us that would give anything to have a little wee one to love and cherish. to see this blatant abuse by these vile adults disgusts me to the very core of my soul.

pls tell me there are laws in china that will intervene and protect the little guy.

  3. HOLY MOTHER OF GOD
If it's not a fake, doesn't China have some sort of child protection agency? Even Communist?
I'm going to put on my Pollyanna glasses and say that it's all computer generated graphics and it's a fake. That's my story and I'm going to stick to it.
The truth is too appalling to consider.

  4. The horrible thing is that I'm sure this has happened in countless 'homes' around the world - people who look on their children as toys and playthings. Look at the trick my kid can do. Sick fucks.

  5. I saw something similar to this on a documentary about Korea a few years ago, and a five year old little boy was smoking away. His parent's were struggling, I mean, just having a terrible time of making it, and they didn't discourage it, because it was one of the few things they could give their child that would comfort him.

The larger issue is the poor state of human welfare, and the fact that in certain parts of the world, cigarettes are a lot cheaper and easier for people to acquire than other things that would benefit their health.

  6. OMG.

Seriously? What the F%$& is wrong with these people? Anyone here able to translate what the are saying??

I can only pray they find out who this kid is and beat the living crap out of whoever is responsible for this =( So Sad.

  8. I saw this a couple of weeks ago. Apparently this kid started when he was 6 MONTHS OLD!!! He was having a lot of toothing pain and so the parents started him smoking to dull the pain.

I'm not sure what the child protective laws are in China, but I would imagine that they aren't upheld like they are here.

  9. I'm sorry but the video is hilarious.

  10. How appalling!! What parents would let their smoke lights when they could be enjoying the full flavor of Pall Mall cigarettes?

  11. i'm equally digusted and impressed by this kids skills! terrible!!!

i also heard that this happens a lot in poor countries to subdue hunger pains. great, half of Africa is succumbing to the SuperModel diet.

  12. I couldn't finish watching it.

I'm sorry Pookie to hear of your troubles.

  13. God. Um.

Well, on the BRIGHT side, this kid will have lungs well-equipped to deal with the atrocious Chinese air pollution.

    Right?

  14. Most kids in China have everything their parents can give them, due to the 'one-child' policy. I suspect the health hazards of smoking are not widely known, and most people smoke. Where do you think Philip Morris, BAT and all the other tobacco companies make their profits from, now North America and Europe have wised up?

  15. The video has been removed, so I can't see it. Anyone know where else to find it?

  18. I smoke, and these stories still disturb me. I find the videos really hard to watch.

Wasn't there a story awhile ago about a British mother who let her young child smoke? I think she was arrested, though.

My dad is Croatian (read: crazy). He's also a heavy smoker. Last year he had pneumonia so my brother and I took turns taking him to the various doctors. I got the pleasure of taking him to the oncologist. I should say by this point my father had pretty much recovered. The doctors (2) were telling him to cut down on the smoking. He proceeded to tell them that babies in Turkey are given cigarettes from the day they are born. The doctors were speechless, their mouths gaped open as my dad proceeded to go on that smoking does not cause cancer blah blah blah. I had to tell him to sit down and I told the doctors to only talk to me.

And ms_wonderland, just because they have a one child law does not mean that China does not have poverty.

  20. The latest viral video in British Columbia is of a family in a car being driven by a 7-yr old boy. Sorry no time to link....

  21. It's funny when it's fake, but horrifying when it's real.

There's one out there where the kids are smoking and drinking and stealing cars, but it's all fake and it's hilarious.

This kid smoking for real is awful.

  22. Well, it looks like he isn't inhaling so at the very least---- that's a plus. People are fucked up. People will do anything to get a "hit video" on you tube or just on the net in general.

The Roller Babies totally kick this kid's ass anyway.

  23. Two-year-olds are not coordinated enough to use a lighter or hold a cigarette like that. Did you see the size of the hands on that "kid"? He also was strong enough to turn the bike's mirror and appeared to know what the mirror was for. I think this kid is much older.

  24. Ya .. thanks Wipe Out. I noticed that too .. the smoking hand were just not right for a supposed two year old. I don't think this is real, sorry.

  25. I agree that the child isn't inhaling, but I found myself horrified and ashamedly amused only because it's just so bizarre and incredibly WRONG to see a baby holding and lighting a cigarette like that. That being said, a friend of mine in 6th grade had a 3 year old brother who'd smoke cigarettes while skateboarding down the street.

  26. A three-year-old on a skateboard?

I'll believe it when I see it.

  27. I dunno. This kid looked like he was sucking on that thing. I'm guessing the hilarity of it was due to him imitating Daddy. Like Coke Mom's kid.

Here's one link for the 7 year old, who's now 9:

Please don't pay attention to the ignorant comments posted underneath the video.

  28. I just have to say this: ever known someone who's died of lung cancer? It must be awesome to get a head start on such a horrific death.

Sorry, but I find it kind of sickening that some of you find this remotely amusing. This is a goddamn CHILD -- not some petulant teenager mistakenly lighting up for the first time behind his junior high.

  29. Crap. I seriously hope this is some Benjamin Buttons shizz and that really isn't a two year old.

  30. Remember when youtube was fun and unregulated. :)

  31. Haha...if anyone here thinks that China gives a shit about kids, just look at their human rights records. That should immediately set you straight. Remember, this is a country where you are sent to death by firing squad for having opinions that aren't the approved ones. Then once you are shot by that firing squad, they harvest your organs, sell them on the black market, and then bill your family for the cost of the bullets they used to shoot you! Yeah, China sure gives a damn about the welfare, safety and health of it's citizens...LOL!! Not that I give a shit about China. Let them handle their own shit, we've got enough problems right here in the US without whipping ourselves into a frenzy over some kid that will probably die soon enough anyways. I'm more concerned with the kids right here in the US that need help, I don't give a flying FUUUCK about some Chinese kid halfway across the world. Not my problem, don't care.
