Random Photos Part One

Two parts again today, not that Liv Tyler doesn't deserve a top spot. I do wish though that someone would explain to me why the knock kneed pose is so popular.
It is even more pronounced here. Is is supposed to be some very feminine lost little girl type pose? I don't understand it at all.
Morgan Freeman avoids any controversy by attending this event with Alfre Woodard. Supposedly Morgan Freeman is a lock for a Best Actor Oscar and his movie hasn't even come out yet. My vote is for Colin Firth in Single Man though. Team Colin.
One of the greatest musicians ever. Merle Haggard. Here he is with Miranda Lambert.
Mariel Hemmingway returns to the red carpet after a very long absence.
OK, so this is a model. The dress she is wearing is made entirely of cork. This was at some eco-fashion thing. I thought cork trees were scarce. Am I wrong? Is it recycled cork? Does it smell like wine?
Muffie!!
Rihanna with a new hair color to go with the rumors that she and Justin Timberlake are dating.
Neal McDonough and Ruve Robertson.
Sara Baras - Barcelona
Shakira, Shakira.
Marty Ingles bought one of those Jermaine Jackson hair pieces. It is obviously not a one size fits all thing.
Scarlett J singing on French television.
Sienna Miller walks her dog, talks to her mom and smokes all while on the lookout for married men.
I hope Taylor doesn't run with those.
Tara Reid making $20 at an Oktoberfest party.
After her official duties are over, Tara reminds us that rehab wasn't so long ago.

Tori Spelling coming out of a doctor's office and looking sad.
Not looking sad are Owen and Woody.

I like Liv she is cute but that pose looks like she wants to pee LOL.

I am very disappointed with Morgan. Thought he was one of the old fashion kind.

Why is Rihanna with Gay Timberlake. Bad choice.

Marty looks like Elvis with that wig LOL.

    LOL@Sienna comments.

  2. My mom always screams when she sees anyone pose like Liv. For the first time in my life I understand her.

  4. I don't get the pose, either.

    Who is Muffie?

    Rihanna's hair is ugly.

    LOL at the Sienna caption!

Tara's beer is HUGE. At first I thought she was drinking out of the pitcher.

Tori might have learned that if you starve yourself long enough, your cycles stop, and if they are stopped long enough, you could be permanently sterile.

  5. Cork is actually the bark of the tree. My understanding is it's renewable without killing the tree. It may be scarce, though (I don't know).

  6. Yeah - the 'broken doll' look. It's stupid.

Thank you for Sara Baras!! Woo hoo!

  7. Yes, that pose is wildly popular because it 'imparts youth.'

I'd give anything to be in the backseat of that golf cart, because you know those guys always have plenty of the best!

  8. Tara Reid and Denise Richards could be sisters...

As far as that stupid pigeon toe stance a lot of celebs do, my thought was that its the opposite of having a "perfect" camera pose (like Paris Hilton and others do)to which makes them seem too vain and less accessible to us regular folk than the knock-knee/pigeon toe pose, which is to imply, "Look, I'm just a regular person, too, who can't stand properly..."

Or maybe those shoes she is wearing are so heavy she can't move her feet in them. I dunno.

  9. Lots of actresses pose pigeon toed. It's supposed to be the new innocent look. New stupid look.

    Team Colin!!!

Does Tori's nose look strange to anyone else?

  10. I've been non-Team Morgan since reading that business about his step-granddaughter. Any updates on that, anyone?

Interesting about Rihanna/Timberlake - she's a way better choice than Biel and this might be the answer to a blind on BlindGossip about two stars fitting their descriptions who hooked up recently - a pop star and guy with a girlfriend, I think.

Love Neal McD! Fell in love with him in Ravenous - underrated and under-viewed movie.

Oh Tara. Such a fame whore. I'm disappointed to see her drinking. I think that's another answer to a blind from a couple of months ago.

  11. Re Boy George, not so much. He doesn't look nearly as bloated and miserable as he did before prison. Yet.

  12. mariel hemingway looks fab. go her!

thx for the sara baras pic, she's so amazing...it's wonderful she's getting US exposure.

    LOVE scarjo's dress...

    tara reid makes me sad.

  13. Wow, Sara Baras, she's excellent, thank you

  14. Fair warning, tmi re Tyra Banks... I've heard Tyra explain the pigeon toed pose--it makes your thighs look thinner. She said she always used to point her feet together when she posed in swimsuits because it gave her that open space between her upper thighs that she didn't have naturally. But she'd chopped off the pictures right above the knee so nobody could see the trick.

  15. Mariel looks great. Where has she been?

Unlike Britney, Tori's UGGS look like the real deal.

I wished like hell Shirley would dump that obnoxious Marty.

I know the song is cheesey, but Shakira's She-Wolf gets me moving. Ahhhh-oooooohhhh.

  16. Whatever you say about the pose, it doesn't suit Liv.

  17. THANK YOU! I always comment on that stupid broken leg look because I HATE it so much! I've heard Tyra's explanation before, but it doesn't work in Liv's case; she's wearing tights and a long sweater and her thighs are clamped together (Paris take notes, lol).

Sara Baras: What an amazing talent!
    RiRi looks absurd.

  18. I am a white girl, but if Zahara was mine, her hair would be twisted or braided. Much easier to deal with and very, very cute. As far as expressing personal style, I doubt Zahara or Shiloh have anything pink or purple in their closets. They express the style of their parents, not their own.

  19. Aside from the 'broken doll' look, we can thank Ebola for popularizing the pigeon-toed feet. It makes her size 11 boats look smaller, and then everyone starting doing it. Ugh.

  20. I will be on team Colin!! What was the reason again?

I've loved Neal McDonough since Band of Brothers. I'll have to check out Ravenous.

Tori Spelling's heart is going go kaput someday soon. It can't handle the starvation that's gone on far too long.

  21. Paisley- Spot on! Those kids will truly be "expressing themselves" when they are 15. Until then, photo ops galore.

  22. Thanks for the Neal McD! Been Team Him since the show Murder One. He's a very underrated actor.

  23. What a great pic of Owen and Woody!

  24. mmmmmm. beeeer.

and wasn't it merle than penned the song "i like beer"?
i could be wrong there, that was a long time ago. i still sing that one, though!

funny, my dad yelled at me all the time growing up to "turn your toes out!". somehow i don't think it would help to show him those pics.

oh, @ whole_lotta_luv, i'm pretty sure "muffie" is the actress that played muffie in "animal house!!

  25. Hmmm...Tori doesn't really look sad but is Enty trying to give us a big 'ole hint that she's Coke Mom?

  26. OH MY GOD!! That pic of ScarJo reminds me that iTunes has an "essential" mix of actors who sing or with songs or something. I listened to her song last night! My ears actually BLED!!! [Okay .. slight exaggeration but I hardly needed more than 7 seconds of the 30 seconds to realize that I would hear no more than that preview!]

  27. What an obscure collection of personas! Nary an attractive pic to compliment amongst the bunch.

    Mariel looks good?!?

(Best I can do with provisions provided.)

  28. Woody and Owen are definitely two guys who I would LOVE to hang out and party with .. Just looking at Woody sometimes makes me laugh when I think about him on Cheers. I bet they have some crazy stories to tell.

  29. Owen, you know I love you, but it's time for a bit of personal grooming. Glad you're happy, though! :)

  30. Thanks for the Merle & Miranda picture Enty-LOVE those two!! She's always made it known that he's her idol. Cannot wait for her new album to come out on the 29th-she's the most talented country singer out there (IMO), who doesn't get the recognition she deserves.

Saw Merle & Willie at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo years ago (still can't bring myself to call it RodeoHouston), unfortunately Merle had over-imbibed beforehand & sounded awful, & Willie decided to speed up his set a little too much-sounded way too rushed. Ah well... Miranda, on the other hand, was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. :)

  31. Okay, enty - your "Team Colin" remark about the Oscars has prompted me to get out the CDAN soapbox. (insert scraping and screetching here)

After watching the Emmys on Sunday I don't think I am ever going to watch them, or the Oscars again. I am sick and tired of having one winner when the wrong actor is usually picked, or there is almost always more than one actor who should be recognized. Hugh Laurie should have gotten an Emmy years ago. Same with Michael Hall (Dexter). At least they stopped giving Boston Legal Emmys. No one watched that! No one watches Bewaking Bad, either. As for the Oscars and Morgan Freeman, He won best supporting actor in a year that Clive Owen was nominated for Closer (an absolutely riveting performance, imo). Morgan should have won years ago for the Shawshank Redemption. Sheesh!!! If there is more than one deserving nominee, GIVE IT TO THEM!!! These shows are getting more and more BORING each year. Maybe switching them up will bring MORE VIEWERS. Think about it...

    (Bowing; off soap box.)

  32. Woody and Owen look like they smell, but I would still hang with them.

Now I won't be so confused!
