Kirsten Dunst & Jake Gyllenhaal Are Not Good Friends
I have to give some kudos to Kirsten Dunst. In an interview with Allure this month she didn't try and make the world believe her by saying that she and Jake Gyllenhaal are still close or care for each other or the million other platitudes that celebrities use to avoid ever being seen as anything other than happy go lucky and perfect human beings.
She says, "If I saw him it would be nice to see him, but we're not good friends." I wonder why that is? It is one line and there is no context to the quote other than her talking about a picture of the two of them taken back in 2004. Do you get the feeling though that this was not a very happy break up? Yeah, me too.

I always enjoy the picture commentary from the cover celeb in Allure. It's often the most honest thing in the interview.

Geez. Brad Pitt used to be pretty hot.
At least Brad has allowed himself to actually age rather than pumping himself full of botox or getting the tom cruise special. Tom has had pretty good surgery as far as that sort of thing goes but I still think it is sad that more actors don't have the courage to be "not hot" and accept an identity other than the sex symbol.
I think they had a semi-relationship in that I think they cared for each other and were probably intimate, but there was always that pink, gay elephant in the room.
PS - I don't know if anyone else here is watching Project Runway, but every time I see Althea on the show, I think of Kirsten. They look very alike to me.
I just found an article that could explain the Jake G/Kirsten break-up. Seems fishy though especially the baby story.

Bubulle. I'm guessing that's based on the Ted C. Toothy Tile is adopting story. No one knows what became of "Baby Tile."

I don't know about that link. If Jake was arrested for sex in his car wouldn't there be a record of that?
I know Toothy Tile is supposed to be Jake but I don't it's hard for me to think that Reese is going along as his beard. She seems like a smart girl and with two kids I can't see her willing to put them in a false family relationship. I guess that's Hollywood?!?
No question that Jake Gyllenhaal is gay. I don't know why Reese would beard for him for so long...? But then, why did Nicole Kidman beard for Tom Cruise for TEN years??
She give a great Twilight burn when commenting on the above picture: "Oh, my God, I love Twilight. It satisfies the 14-year-old girl in you. It's genius. The special effects are hilarious. There's nothing scary about Twilight, except that the pancake makeup stops here, and the rest of their neck is just their skin."
I also believe that Jake G is gay but I'm not buying the baby story. I also don't get why Reese feels the need to be his beard.

I've read that the reason Reese goes along is that she didn't want to end up portrayed like "poor Jennifer Aniston" in the tabloids. Ryan Phillippe cheated on Reese with Abbie Cornish, and others, and Reese didn't want to look like the dumped one who can't hold on to a man. And it's not like she has to worry about Jake being seen with other women. She can hang with Jake for a couple of years, and when they split she won't look desperate.
By bearding for Jake, Reese has saved herself from endless magazine covers asking when she'll find love again. No one wants to be the next Jennifer Anniston.

whole lotta luv, yeah, blame the ex. It can't be because of any flaws and insecurities on Reese's part. She's perfect. It must be Ryan's fault. TWO years. Two years of bearding and it's all her ex's fault. Yeah.
