Did You Watch The Jack5ons Last Night?
Last night I was enjoying my Sunday night buzz. Just that kind of numb feeling that washes over you before the dread of Monday morning sets in and you realize you have to work the next day. I hate that feeling. So, I was flipping channels and it stopped on A&E. It stopped because my mouth dropped. It was that Jackson's show. There were the four remaining brothers practicing their dance moves. Hilarious. The private ceremony they wanted for Michael's funeral? You know the one for close friends and family so they could honor him in their quiet way? Filmed from ever possible angle for their reality show. These guys are a piece of work. The best thing that has happened to them in the past 25 years is Michael dying. Seriously. That might be callous but the way they are grabbing on to a dollar wherever and however they can shows they were pretty desperate for fame and money and are going to take advantage of it.
Think about this for a second. They are making money off his death. No one would have cared about their show or their opinions or let LaToya near a f**king red carpet if Michael hadn't died. I guess I don't blame them but it just seems cheap. Not that there is anything cheap about the plastic shell Jermaine calls his hair. When you see it in HD it makes you want to run and hide in a corner.
I smell Papa Joe all over this mess.
ReplyDelete"The best thing that has happened to them in the past 25 years is Michael dying."
ReplyDeleteIt's true, and they are milking it for every cent they can. :(
Oh, and I was offended enough just seeing a commercial for this show, didn't feel the need to subject myself to the whole thing. Ick! Nast.
ReplyDeleteAgreed Moosh. My husband and I decided against watching it, just because.
ReplyDeleteAnd people wonder how Michael could have gotten so screwed up....
ReplyDeleteexploiting themselves and each other is all this family knows, surely we're not surprised by this?

ReplyDeleteHow much longer before they go back into obscurity? Unfortunately, they will have something for his one year passing and we will be subjected at unforeseen intervals how irrelevant, untalented and f**ked up they all are.
ReplyDeleteBecause I was one cookie shy of being in a diabetic coma, I could not move to find the remote and was stuck watching (listening really) to this train wreck.
ReplyDeleteThis show is pathetic and a mockery of trash TV. I don't know of one person who wants them to 'come back' and them talking about being stalked by the paparazzi was a joke. They were at the restaurant looking for real celebs.
Don't get me started on Jermaine's painted on hair or that stupid hat Tito wore the entire time of shooting. And Jermaine's wife putting on is shoes? Makes Islam women look worse then their image already portrays.
And running back to mommy? Give me a friggin break.
Blame the media, not the Jackson's. If nobody offered them anything they couldn't capitalize on Mike's death. The U.S. media is so sensationalistic, it's crazy. All the fuss over Tiger Wood is another example....so many people debating whether his wife should leave him. For crying out loud, it is a family matter and everybody should shut up about it.
ReplyDeleteI agree Papa Joe must have gotten them the job as all of a sudden they disagree with Michael that the father was abusive (by the way Janet also said the father WAS NOT abusive. she called it "old schooled discipline").
ReplyDeleteSecondly what is wrong with Randy? You never hear a word out of him.
Third I think Tito may be bald in the center of his head so that's why he keeps the hat on.
I can't watch. I just want to live in my fantasy world and remember the J5 as they were when I listened to them on my purple domed turntable. ABC....
ReplyDeleteI watched a bit of it last night...and was shocked because they were speaking nicely of their father. No mention of the beatings...just "he raised us the only way he knew how.." etc...Wow..Papa Joe must really have his hands in this. Disgusting.
ReplyDeleteridiculous
ReplyDeleteI was flipping channels and just refused to stop and watch this for one single moment. Disgusting.
ReplyDeleteWon't do it. They are has-beens clinging onto the exploited memory of their little brother.
ReplyDeleteI spent my evening doing something better, napping and decorating a Christmas tree. I will not watch a hasbeen trainwreck.
ReplyDelete"They are has-beens clinging onto the exploited memory of their little brother." True Ms Cool. All I saw in the 15 seconds I gave it was 4 old, talentless dudes. Michael was a strange one, but he really had the moves and was an entertainer you couldn't take your eyes off.
ReplyDeletewtf was up with Jermaine's hair, for real! it was like shellacked on..it looked like the MJ doll from the 80's.
ReplyDeleteI won't watch this or have anything to do with MJ exploitation. Where were they when he was alive? I refuse to watch them feed on his corpse.
ReplyDeleteI am obsessed with Jermaine's hair. Is it real? Is it 'painted' on his head? Or, does he have some industrial-strength hair product to slick it back and keep it in place? Maybe he's really bald and this is fake hair. He can't start wearing hats because Tito is all over that. Love Tito's hats. I think VH1 should do an 'investigative' show on the mystery behind Jermaine's hair.
ReplyDeleteI don't blame A & E for trying to find a show that they think people would watch, but the family should have had the dignity to say no. I didn't watch and would rather watch the Kardashians. What's next, the Jackson 5 reunion tour? If enough people boycott this, it will be off the air soon. smh
ReplyDeleteI really hope this gets cancelled. Ew. I just really don't like them.
ReplyDeleteMichael's funeral was the pilot for their show. Nobody gave a damn about them till he died. Not only won't I even think about watching it, I find myself having to turn the channel when the commercial for it is on.
ReplyDeleteI would rather have surgery with a chainsaw and no pain meds then see this Crapfest.
ReplyDeleteYeah! I'd rather have my face set on fire and let someone put it out with a chain!
ReplyDeleteI won't watch this show by choice, and it's my fervent hope that it fades away quickly.
ReplyDeleteDespite my personal feelings about Michael Jackson the person, I respected and enjoyed Michael Jackson the artist.
The sooner the circus parade they're calling a dynasty fades back into obscurity, the better.
I watched every episode of Criminal Minds before the show and changed the channel. I wonder how long until Papa Joe puts MJ's kids on the show. I'm disgusted with the whole family. If they want people to watch this it should run after Dog the Bounty Hunter.
ReplyDeleteThink of all the money they could have had if Michael had not squandered it on pedophile hush money and lawyers.
ReplyDeleteNo pity.
They ARE cheap. Michael and Janet are the only ones who had anything to offer.
