NY Post Blind Items
Which news correspondent who died on foreign soil cheated on his wife with a woman who later became one of Tiger Woods' mistresses?
Which actor wants an entourage in his bedroom? He's been asking his various girlfriends to suggest guys who could join them in the sack .
WHICH socialite is distraught over the plight of her alcoholic father? The old man has been barred from his apartment because of the street people he brings into the building and is now in a hotel.

ReplyDeleteIt's sad that the first blind is about a dead journalist. I dunno, it's just not sitting right with me today.
ReplyDelete1) Michael Kelly
ReplyDeleteMarcy and Sue Ellen, you are right. I'm deleting my guesses as I feel bad - it was just a guess without any type of education or knowledge behind it. I liked the guy.
ReplyDeletei was going to say david bloom as well. he was the one killed on the tank right? hope not the one Angie played in that movie...that would be sad as hell.
ReplyDelete#2 seems obviously someone from the TV show Entourage.
ReplyDeleteDaniel Pearl then? @jax
ReplyDeleteRQ: It's just a guess, don't feel bad.
ReplyDeleteThere's just something about a journalist trying to get the story out to the world, dying in the midst of that, and ending up as a blind on the NY Post that bothers me. It's tacky as hell.
@ Sue Ellen... Agreed. To the point where I'm not even going to respond. Total buzz kill.
ReplyDeletesorry, Ms cool, not RQ. Sorry, sorry, sorry.
ReplyDelete#2 - the gross hairy one that plays Vincent Chase. There have been some pretty nasty rumours about him floating around.
ReplyDeleteAgreeing with the rest of you. The guy's DEAD for Pete's sake - why don't we cut his family a little slack?
ReplyDeleteTinsley Mortimer for #3??
ReplyDeleteStill thinking about the others.
Obviously someone from Entorage for #2..
I spell good!!
ReplyDeleteI meant Entourage..
gotta be bloom, glad he got a peice of strange before he kicked.
ReplyDeletegood for him.
David Bloom had a heart attack, and it was NOT military related, except that he was on a tank. But Bloom has been dead for about many years. Tiger woods HOs are much younger, and nastier.

ReplyDeleteMy first thought for #1 was David Bloom (and oh how I loved him and cried when he died) and then I got pissed because WHY would they bring it up no matter who it is.
ReplyDeleteWhat, has no one guessed the Pivert yet for #2?!

ReplyDeleteActually DB had a pulminary embolism or DVT (deep vein thrombosis while in Iraq reporting for NBC News. A few days before his passing, he reported having cramps behind one of his knees and a military physician recommended he receive a more thorough examination, but he chose to continue on with the group with whom he was embedded.
ReplyDeleteI write this not to be snarky or to place blame on anyone, but I really enjoyed his reporting for NBC Nightly News and thought his passing was incredibly tragic and sad.
With that being said, I am not surprised that the Post had this item as a blind. I am surprised that Enty included it.
David Bloom had a pulmonary embolism. I had one two years ago - scary as heck. I loved him, too and was very sad when he died.
ReplyDeleteThis blind is actually really really old....I remember seeing this in Blind Gossip a long while back.
ReplyDeleteBTW...the saddest thing is that when I googled reporters who died on foreign soil and there were a ton of them.
ReplyDeleteAlso...the blind doesn't say the man died as a result of the war/military...just that he died on foreign soil. This would lead me to Bloom, unfortunately, as I think they would have said something like "killed on foreign soil" or "killed in battle" or something like that.
I don't know who the journalist could be, but I think it's interesting that so many of you are offended by this blind. This blog site in particular posts dirty shit and rumors and reports and blinds on tons of peeps after they die, so why is this so much different? Not saying it's right, but just saying is all. Gossip is gossip is gossip. Right? The old Hollywood blinds are usually about dead people. Isn't that the same thing?
ReplyDeleteNo 2 - Piven?
2 Piven
ReplyDelete3 Tinsley
the first thing I thought was " blind number one sure seems inappropriate "
ReplyDelete:/ I think tacky fits nicely in there too..
RQ, you must be referring to Adrian Grenier, I'm thinking - though I don't really watch the show, he's the hairiest one, that I can recall.
ReplyDeleteHmm, what about Jerry Ferrara for #2? He and what's-her-name broke up relatively recently from their longterm relationship, right?
susan, i'm with you, makes no sense, bunch of damn phonies on this site, give me a break
ReplyDeleteIt makes sense cause this person was just a journalist doing their job. There is a HUGE difference between that and celebrities who seek out the public's attention for their own personal gratification. Journalists, though they do seek public attention, do it for more altruistic reasons like getting the story out to the mainstream public. That is where my issue lies. It's also tacky like I said.
ReplyDeletealtruistic reasons????you must be joking. a television journalist chooses to be a celebrity.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you wholeheartedly Susan.
ReplyDeleteSome people are upset by this blind item yet they are the ones who on other days laugh or giddily try to figure out who the person is in a blind item. But it's okay because they don't think about that person's family. C'mon folks. You have to see the hypocrisy here. If he had died anywhere else you wouldn't be so upset but you would be trying to figure out who it is or saying what a shit he was.
wow. really??
ReplyDeletegee, i think a lot of journalists just want to tell the stories whether in print or on film---that's not 'choosing to be a celebrity'.
I'm with you, Susan.
ReplyDelete@chkyface - yes, Adrian Grenier, thanks! He's apparently well known (along with Kevin Connolly) for taking girls home and having them get on their knees - for some reason he seems like more of the kind of guy who'd want a guy in with him and a girl than Connolly or Piven. I don't know why...he just does. I think it's because one girl said he wanted his friends to watch her give him head once. Ew.

ReplyDeleteYes, this blind may be "as tacky as hell", but cheating on your spouse is tackier.
