KC & The Sunshine Band Founder Arrested For Underage Sex With Boys
The co-founder of KC & The Sunshine Boys was arrested Tuesday after an underage boy filed a complaint with police in Ohio that Richard Finch had sexual contact with him. The police are saying that Finch admitted to having sex with the boy and other underage boys over the years. Finch is 56 and back in the day he and Harry KC Casey started the band. Finch won 7 Grammy Awards for his writing and producing. Police say he admitted to having sex with boys as young as 13. Apparently that's the way he likes it. I think it is sick and I bet there are a whole lot more that police don't know about yet.
On his website, Finch denies all the charges and calls them baseless. Uh huh.
"Play that funky music" or "Thats the way (uh uh, uh uh) I like it"?? A lot of bands from that era have blended together for me.
ReplyDeleteAt least he's SUPER hot.
ReplyDelete*gag*
It wasn't Play that Funky Music, I think that was Average White Band. They did do "That's the Way I Like It", "Do a Little Dance, Make a Little Love, Get Down TOnight" and a song that was in Saturday Night Fever. They were HUGE in the 70's.
ReplyDeleteSweet Lord, what is with these depraved perverts?
ReplyDeleteDoes this pervert even have a thought as to how he ruined the lives of those boys "as young as 13" because that's what he liked doing? Castrate him, then lock him up and throw away the key.
ReplyDeleteThey should put him under the jail.
ReplyDeleteI have always believed in castration for pedaphiles.
ReplyDeleteThe KC guy was performing in Tulsa a few days ago.
ReplyDeleteI agree with previous posters regarding his punishment. Sick bastard.
KC & The Sunshine Boys...HA! Nice slip Enty. The actual charges are not funny though.
ReplyDeletethat is really sick, nothing more to add
ReplyDeleteSyko I agree but I think when Enty said "Apparently that's the way he likes it." he was making a reference to the song lyrics and not to what he told the police.
ReplyDeleteDitto sunnyside, castration is fine by me.
ReplyDelete"Shake your booty" is forever ruined.
Oh, I know, Alice, Enty being his clever self. :) But it's probably true. I just see red, though, when I hear about young children being molested, because my child was molested at the age of 10 by his Big Brother and I know what it has done to him and to everyone who cares about him. These molesters literally steal the child's life.
ReplyDeleteAw crap. Now I must remove Boogie Shoes from my playlist.
ReplyDeleteStupid, creepy loser. Poor boys.
I'm glad it wasn't KC. I don't care, I still love the Sunshine Band.
ReplyDeleteI think Wild Cherry did Play That Funky Music. AWB was more soul than disco.
ReplyDeleteThe lyrics... I'm you're boogie man, turn me on, just took on a whole new meaning.
Syko-
ReplyDeleteOh my God, I am so sorry. I know that doesn't do much, but I hope that somehow your son will be OK...or as OK as anyone in that situation can be. I hope the guy who did it is rotting in jail right now, but if not, he WILL rot in hell for all eternity, deservedly so. I am pregnant right now and that is one of my biggest fears for my child...but there are so many. WTF is wrong with this world?
And is it just me, or is Ohio the worst hellhole in the US (besides Detroit)? God that place is FUUUCKED UP!
Thanks, Amanda, the guy is dead of AIDS now, and my kid's in therapy and off the crack after more than 20 years, so things are looking up. It's a scary world. At least you are smart enough to know about the danger, and you'll watch out for your kids. I had no clue, I grew up in the 50s when everyone looked out for kids instead of trying to hurt them. And I trusted that BB/BS had screened the guy - and he was a Marine, after all.
ReplyDeleteI think Florida may be a bigger hellhole than Ohio, even. Remember we had Mariah who was shaving her nether regions while driving down the highway, with her ex-husband holding the wheel from the passenger side, on her way to meet her boyfriend. And we don't even blink an eye at things like that here. LOL
Sorry to hear about your boy Syko. I am glad he is better but that is a small statement given what he has struggled with.
ReplyDeleteSyko-
ReplyDeleteHoly shit...and good riddance to that scumbag. I hope he suffered immensely. I'm glad that your son is doing better, I know it's hard even if I don't know exactly how hard, I can imagine and sympathize.
I knew someone was gonna say Florida! At least we've got sunshine and beaches though, Ohio is just....boring. We almost moved to Columbus, and we drove out there to check it out and believe me, it was a nightmare. Abandoned buildings, squalor...and Columbus is supposed to be the NICEST part of Ohio! It was just...off, I don't know how to explain it. Also, I could not live in the Midwest/North, being a Southerner (which probably made it harder) and definitely could not live in a place with Tim Horton's. This is not Canada! Besides, I live in the Panhandle and it's not so crazy here....usually. I personally think it has to do with the fact that FL looks like a huge penis. That'll make anyone crazy!
Play that Funky Music White Boy is by Wild Cherry. Average White Band is awesome soul and funk, "Cut the Cake" was one of their big hits.
ReplyDeleteoh, and I agree with syko, castrate that sick bastard!
ReplyDelete"I want to be your, be your Rubber Ball"
ReplyDeleteGag!
hmm. oddly, a few years ago a coworker told me KC was into very, very young guys -- he implied underage, but never clarified. He seemed to have firsthand knowledge of this.
ReplyDeleteamanda rae - I've always thought Florida was the limp dick on the belly of the United States. And more than likely will someday break off and float away. Thankfully I am far enough north that hopefully I can grab hold of Georgia and stay in the country.
ReplyDeleteSyko, I am so sorry about your son's experience. I am so glad the sick bastard is dead--hopefully he had a long & painful suffering.
ReplyDeleteI was going to comment that the yellow bejewelled jumpsuit should have been a dead giveaway.
looooove florida. can't hate a state that has its own 'fark' tag. white sand beaches and phenomenal cultural diversity certainly don't hurt.
ReplyDeletethat said...i'm sooooo glad this wasn't kc. he's all kinds of awesome. boo on this perv dude tho.
amanda rae hating on Canada now. Yeah, I guess we're the one group she hasn't sprayed hate on yet.
ReplyDeleteWow, I didn't see this one coming.
ReplyDeleteActually, the actual founder of KC and the Sunshine Band made a statement that this guy wasn't a founder, and was only with the band a few years.
ReplyDeletePopeater has an exclusive about it. (But that's not where I read it, so that's confusing. lol)
