Whitney Houston In London

Last night in London, Whitney Houston performed. I had read that hundreds of fans walked out during the show and many demanded their money back because she was so horrible. I finally found a video of the show, and at first she doesn't sound so bad. That was at first. As the video progresses and she sings I Will Always Love You, it sounds like she is strangling a cat. It really is bad.

  2. how long is this fucking tour anyway? hasn't she smelled up enough venues?

whoever had this brainy idea must be sucking on the same crackpipe as whitney.

  3. Is she the answer to the BI about the famous "singer" who really wasn't singing? I forget the BI's nickname.

  6. I hope she realizes that she just needs to stop. Retire. Go back home.. Oh wait, that's ATL.. she can stay in LA, we don't want her back!!

  7. she needs rehab stat! the promoters are snake oil salesmen in tandem w/ the snake label/mgmt peeps. she is not fit to perform...how much $ is tied in all this?

  8. AGAIN, Whit, honey we all know you could sing at one point, so why not be humble and go out with some grace and LIP SYNCH those difficult songs?!?!

  9. yeah let her go home and resign w some dignity

  10. Woh, that was bad. But what do people expect when she is obviously in need of rehab again? Poor Whitney. I actually feel sorry for her after this. Can't she cancel when her voice isn't up to it? Or does she really need the money?

  11. M.V....I am so convinced Whitney is M.V. and I haven't been proven wrong yet.

  12. Aside---some of the screaming fans in the audience are hitting better notes, Whitney. Time to pack it in.

  13. She may have had the best voice or one of the best voices ever, at leat of her generation of singers. And then she pissed it away on drugs. All those years of abuse may have ruined her gift.

  14. When is she just going to give up on this charade of a "comeback"?

  15. Very sad. She used to have such a beautiful voice.

  16. I attended her first concert back in 1985 or 1986, and we walked out halfway through when she was introducing the band. It was pretty bad. She could at least carry a tune back then, but was singing at half tempo. We weren't the only ones. Lots of folks were streaming out with us. Just sayin' she's never been all that...

  17. I want those 5 minutes of my life back (and some Tylenol for my headache). Oy vey girl - just pack it in already.

  18. Milli Vanilli. It HAS to be her.

  19. If Britney (who never had much of a voice to begin with) could carry on a tour completely lip synch'ing, why didn't Whitney?

    I don't think Whitney is MV, I think it's J.Lo.

  20. califblondy: I've always thought it was JLo. She's a fake ass who has a completely different face from her Fly Girls days and she sounds like a bag of wet rats.

  21. Well, if MV was Whitney, I could see why it would shake the industry to its core. If it's J-Lo, I highly doubt anyone would be that surprised.

  22. I know smoking cigarettes ruins your voice, but does crack?

I wonder if perhaps Whitney was using her real voice early in her career, but as she became a crackhead, her producers substituted her voice, making her MV?

  23. No one would be shocked to the core if MV was JLo....I totally think it's Whitney.

  24. she must need the $$$ to still go on in such bad shape

  25. I hate to say this, but Whitney has to be MV.. I saw her in concert back in the lat 80's and even then I kinda though she might be having a bit of help in the production department.

But even if MV isn't her, I know smoking doesn't help your singing voice, but other artists are heavy smokers and still manage to keep it together. Or at least adapt their aging pipes to a different tenor and forget the sopranos. Stevie Nicks is a good example of that and you can't tell me she hasn't been smoking the bad stuff.

Poor Whitney, she should have just done a one time only concert instead of a world tour.

  26. Did anybody else notice that right after she did the big 'And I....' people just quietly started looking around? OUCH.

And adding a 'there it is' after your voice crackles does NOT help hide it, girl.

  27. What is the MV everyone is referring to? Is it a BI?

  28. There is really no excuse to be tone deaf like this. She is seasoned and to not even be able to sing your own songs in key or know the tempo of the music (she was always ahead) is ridiculous. She hacks and croaks her way through this. Awful. Is she referring to her voice not 'wanting to do it tonight'? There is an Eartha Kitt vibe to her voice now..

  29. how sad...this is horrible.
yah now i'm beginning to think she could be the mv can crack do that to your vocals?

  30. MV is straight up Paula Abdul.
