Today's Blind Items - Another Story About The Director's Wife

Yesterday I introduced you to the married actress who was willing to do anything to help her husband. Well her affections are not just reserved to help her husband. She also looks out for herself. One of her regulars is an A list writer and show creator who wrote for one of the greatest television shows of all time and has a new one on the same network.

Anyway, to make sure she stays in this writer's good graces, our actress indulges his fantasies and anytime you see her with bruises on her wrists you know she was hanging out with him. One time, our actress was orally servicing this writer and someone walked in. The writer expected our actress to stop but even when she saw the person who walked in she just kept going until the act was completed.

  2. WOW! Gotta appreciate her dedication! Good guess Montana!

  3. Aaron Sorkin for the a-list writer/show creator?

  4. My first thought was Larry David, too, but I don't see any new shows coming out where is the writer or producer.

    ReplyDelete
  5. I like the Larry David guess but does he have a current show on NBC?

    ReplyDelete
  6. What exactly is she expecting to gain for her efforts? Him creating a show or part for her?

I'm guessing the husband is cool with this too.

  7. I immediately thought of Seinfeld. Isn't LD affiliated with The Marriage Ref? Not sure if its on NBC. Anybody?

    So is Costanza(lol)into bondage?

Oh PLEASE let it be Jerry that walked in....

    LOL

  8. Wow. What is wrong with this woman. I actually feel kind of sad about this. What incredibly low self respect she must have. *shakes head*

  9. I guess I'd never get my break in Hollywood

    Blowing Larry David?

    NO thank you!!

    ReplyDelete
  10. How pathetic can you get? I left "the biz" because my boss threw his breakfast at me because it wasn't cooked enough. I turned and said to him, "Go cure cancer and then I'll kiss your ass" and walked out.

It was the happiest day of my life. Get some fucking perspective, people.

  11. Wow. This is the definition of a PIG!

  12. @supergroupie- I like your David Simon guess!

The Wire is one of the greatest shows of all time, and Treme is his new show.

  13. my first thought was Larry David

  14. I like the Gretchen/Larry guess. If Jerry walked in, I doubt he would be fazed.

  15. Greg Daniels. Created The Office, and Parks & Rec is on the same network.

    ReplyDelete
  16. James Burrows is directing '100 Questions' and he wrote for 'Cheers.'

  17. @Sis Cesspool- Great comeback =] Love it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh, and Greg Daniels also wrote for Seinfeld and SNL, also on NBC...

    ReplyDelete
  19. yeah...Larry David as well but Mooshki makes a good point.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Another guess for show creator: Mitchell Hurwitz, creator of Arrested Development (one of Enty's favorites) AND his new show was just picked up by Fox (Wilde Kingdom/Running Wilde).

    ReplyDelete
  21. 'Parks is in its second season, and David doesn't have a new show. I also thought J.J. Abrams, but his new show is going to be on NBC. David Simon is a great guess too.

  23. Terence Winter? He is the creator of Boardwalk Empire, that stars Gretchon Mol, which is on HBO, and he was Executive producer on The Sopranos

    ReplyDelete
  24. Terence Winter (writer on 'The Sopranos') is the creator of the upcoming 'Boardwalk Empire' on HBO... which features Gretchen Mol.

    ReplyDelete
  25. LOL, Jerry Seinfeld is a creator of 'The Marriage Ref,' and he did after all write for 'Seinfeld.' Maybe his plagiarizing wife walked in on them? ;)

    ReplyDelete
  26. I guess David beat me to it...

    ReplyDelete
  27. i think david's got it. it's NOT larry david though. he has no show on NBC. definitely not him.

    man, this chick's a slut.

    ReplyDelete
  28. The Sopranos & The Wire as some of the greatest shows of all time?

I guess thats a matter of opinion...

    Good shows, but GOAT?

    IMO, of course

    LOL

    ReplyDelete
  29. I think the Gretchen Mol guess is a good one, but if she is doing all of this in order to get work, then where is all of this work? After Life on Mars (which was a great show) has she been in anything? FYI, I don't have HBO or Showtime, so maybe there is a show I don't know about....

  30. @ cariisa
i was just going to say she either is a lousy lay or uses teeth b/c she aint getting Oscar roles!

  31. These blinds are depressing me now. If you want to be an actress so much, do theatre and call it quits already. How much is fame really worth?

    ReplyDelete
  32. This is 100% not David Simon.

    ReplyDelete
  33. What about Joss Whedon?

    ReplyDelete
  34. What many of you said...whoever it is, I feel sorry for them.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have to say, I 100% agree that The Sopranos and The Wire (OMG THE WIRE) are two of the best shows ever made.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm on board for the Terence Winter guess.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Joss Whedon is a good guess. I've always thought he came across as a complete tool. I've read on multiple sites and interviews how he constantly badgers his female stars to lose more and more weight. I can see him getting off on bondage and semi-public blowjobs. He's got some tv show or movie out soon.

    ReplyDelete
  38. i'm with the team Gretchen Mol/Terrence Winter(he's a productor/Writer of "Soprano" and "Boardwalk empire"

    ReplyDelete
  39. J, I have a lot of friends who say that 'The Wire' was the best show they've every seen.

    ReplyDelete
  40. OT, but Will and Jada are going to be on Oprah next week talking about their sex life some more. Gag.

  42. I just saw J's comment. GOAT. Too funny

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hey guys, I really like the Sopranos & I have The Wire on DVD but I thought GOAT meant something everyone was familiar with. My mom isn't aware of The Wire although she watched/watches Sopranos. Maybe because they are cable shows...I seriously doubt this is David Simon also.

    @sunnyside

One has to wonder why Will & Jada are always talking about their sex life. You know what they say about folks that are always bragging about it...they rarely get it. There must be more gay rumors on the way & they're playing offense. They are sickening ugh!

    ReplyDelete
  44. @J, I'd love to hear what you think the greatest shows of all time are if you are hesitant to put The Sopranos or The Wire in that category.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Bummer. I thought the greatest show of all time was The Simpsons! :)

    ReplyDelete
  46. From my Facebook friends, I think lots would think LOST is GOAT

    ReplyDelete
  47. @RJ, i don't know where you read that about joss whedon, but i highly doubt it's true. He has proudly featured fuller figured actresses on both buffy and dollhouse.

and he is a self-identified feminist. i really don't think he would participate in such a degrading exchange of work for sex. not to mention his most recent show is not that new and has already been cancelled, so he doesn't even fit the blind.

here's a video of a beautiful speech he gave while receiving an award from equality now:

  48. OSPCA UPDATE: We did it!!! Today the OSPCA suspended the slaughter of pets at the York shelter because of the public outcry in which several CDANers participated. 99 pets were slaughtered and 250+ pets were saved. Thank you so much for your support and activism!!!!!

  49. That's great news, Ms.!!! It just shows how important social activism is for saving lives and making change.

  50. David Simon--"The Wire" is one of Enty's favorites, and "Treme" is new on HBO...but man, I really hope not.

  52. I'm going to chime in and say very unlikely to be David Simon. My father has been working with him continuously for decades, and David really just doesn't seem like a guy who would trade sex for favors. Furthermore, correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't think of any B-list women who have ever been on his shows, so why would this actress bother if not for casting? I suppose nothing is ever out of the question, but I would bet good money against David.

The above said, I haven't got any guesses, so.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Thomas: don't worry. It isn't David Simon. He's extremely happily married and would never do something like this even if he weren't.

    ReplyDelete
  54. I don't really know anything about the writer/director world..

BUT Alan Ball did come to mind with "Six Feet Under" and "True Blood".. But the way I read it, isn't a network show different from a cable show?? Oh wait, I just read tha Alan Ball is openly gay...

    I got nothin.

    @ChasingHeaven - I think I love you!!

@Ms. - HOORAY!!! You rock. I would personally like to thank you for all of your efforts. Animals have no choice or voice. I cannot even watch the Sarah McLachlan commercial without crying. I have to switch the channel :(

  55. I'm going with whoever writes for Seinfeld and The Marriage Ref. Of course my first thought was Seinfeld but then I couldn't imagine his bitch faced wife Jessica allowing anyone to get near her meal ticket so I'll say whoever wrote with him on both of the shows.

And these shows are both on A NETWORK as opposed to cable stations.

And last but not least I also do NOT believe that The Wire was one of the best series ever written.

    ReplyDelete
  56. MS.- YES!!!!
I've been forwarding my friends to write nasty emails and they thought it was a hoax until I read them the Toronto news link.
Thank you for passing on the good news. It is still such a shame that we lost those 99 though.
Thank you for alerting us to the outbreak. I haven't heard anything else about it, except on here.
    Thank you again!

  57. Every time I even try to deal with this blind, I get depressed at the idea of just how fractured and broken the people involved must be. It's yucky and sad. I don't even care who they are, except that if I knew I would never want to watch anything they are involved with ever again. Sad people.

  59. @supergroupie

I was thinking more Seinfeld, Friends, Cheers, etc.

They're not what I consider GOAT per se, but when someone mentions GOAT, they usually mean those shows

Of course this is just based on my experience and not any real research, lol, so don't take this as law.

btw, I Love Lucy is the GOAT IMO

  60. It wouldn't be a stretch if Enty The Wire one of the greatest TV shows of all time.

    Jacob Weisberg, Slate magazine:
The Wire, which has just begun its fourth season on HBO, is surely the best TV show ever broadcast in America.

    From the Telegraph UK:
No other series in history has attracted such critical praise, not least from the kind of high-minded cultural arbiters who would usually only watch a US crime drama with a peg on their nose. According to these critics, The Wire isn't merely the best thing on TV; it merits comparison with the works of Dickens and Dostoevsky. As the entertainment industry magazine Variety observed, "When television history is written, little else will rival The Wire, a series of such ambition that it is, perhaps inevitably, savoured only by the appreciative few."

    From the Guardian UK:
Here are nine reasons why I believe The Wire to be the greatest ever television drama. Please feel free to post up your own nomination for reason number 10.

    From Wikipedia:
Despite never seeing a large commercial success or winning major television awards, The Wire has been described by critics as the greatest television series ever made.[2][3][4][5][6][7] The show is recognized for its realistic portrayal of urban life, its literary ambitions, and its uncommonly deep exploration of sociopolitical themes.

In the question of whether The Wire or The Sopranos is the GOAT, Alan Sepinwall comes down on the side of The Wire.

I could do this all day. I know a lot of people haven't written it or seen it, but it's not without precedent to group it as one of the GOAT.

I know some people have seen it and don't like it. I'm just saying...

  61. Well. That's sounds like a scene cut from Mulholland Drive.

    ReplyDelete
  62. That's great news, Ms.!!!

    ReplyDelete
  63. Whoever asked above, yes, Alan Ball is gay. He's been out for years, he's not the guy we're looking for.

David E. Kelley has a new show coming to NBC (I think). That said, I still think it's Gretchen Mol who is in Terence Winter's new show on HBO (and he wrote for HBO's The Sopranos). Every piece fits.
