Joran van der Sloot Confesses

If it were only this easy 5 years ago then Natalee Holloway's parents might have some closure. Yesterday, Peruvian police stated that Joran van der Sloot confessed to the murder of Stephany Flores.

He confessed in front of a roomful of people including someone from the Dutch Embassy. He stated that when he came back from getting her coffee she was looking at his computer and looking through documents he had on the Aruba case. He then grabbed her neck, broke it and then took his tennis racket, beat her to death, packed his bags and left the hotel.

After news of his confession leaked, Natalee Holloway's dad said that he hopes Joran confesses to Natalee's death now. Even if he doesn't confess, I think the world knows he did it. He has showed how violent he is repeatedly. I just wonder when he was recruiting sex workers in Thailand for brothels in The Netherlands if he beat any of them to death or anyone else.

A conviction for murder in Peru is worth a maximum of 35 years in jail. For confessing you get a reduction in that sentence. I don't know if they get time off for good behavior or not, but I have a feeling that about 10 years from now this guy will be getting out of jail in his early 30's and someone else will feel his wrath.

I only hope that a Peruvian prison is worse than some cushy place he would have stayed at in the states.

Oh and I am soooo not a proponent for prison gang rape but I will make an exception in his case!

Seeing as how the little psycopath was talking to the same guys who interrogate the Shining Path, he probably decided to admit it rather than go back in the little room.

I have a feeling he will not get out of jail. He's not going to be popular among his fellow prisoners, the Dutch guy who came to Peru and murdered the only daughter of one of their beloved race car drivers.

I'm just blown away by him referring to her as "the girl" and saying she had no right to look at his personal business. It never occurs to him that he had no right to deprive her of the rest of her life, does it?

I have a feeling this guy is going to come to a bad end. He is going to kill himself or someone else will do it when he is in jail or when he gets out. I just don't think this spoiled brat psycho is going to adapt well to prison life...in addition, he lost his dad a few months ago.

If not he faces extortion charges re the Holloways and maybe charges re the sex trade scheme and they are searching for more clues in Aruba. Maybe something will happen to allow him to be locked up again after he serves time in Peru.

He only confessed so that he could get a reduction in sentence. I hope the little fuck dies in jail. No good can come from him getting out.

OT: I just heard the UK denied Chris Brown a visa to tour because of his domestic violence record so he's had to cancel his concerts in Great Britain and Ireland.

This is a good day for justice!

And never an anguished look on this prick's face. Not once that we have seen.

Not back during the Natalee debacle and not now. He truly feels no remorse.

He's gonna need to be one tough M-Fer to withstand the next 10-35 years in one piece. He towers over a lot of people and is obviously strong being able to break that poor Stephany's neck, but the multitude of true badasses in Castro Castro will be able to overcome him and take care of that snotty, aloof attitude REAL quick.

Shegundala said...

He's not going to walk out of jail, not with the victim's father being a former race car driver and current Peruvian "businessman." Adios, Joran, you POS.

FINALLY, WHAT A SICKO, AND DADDY'S NOT HERE TO COVER THIS ONE UP....

the jail he is supposed to go to is known for "going in and never coming out" no matter how long your sentence is.

i saw something on joran's face i never saw before today....FEAR. reality just set in for this fucker without daddy around to pay off the Peruvians.

HAHA! enjoy tossing salad and getting shanked by a broom/jailmate on a nightly basis!

From what I understand from reading comments on news sites, the conditions of the jails in Peru are going to make Joran wish he'd been jailed in Aruba. Most people don't believe he'll be alive a year from now.

Susan said...

Oh how I wish the Peruvian girl had just left the room before Joran came back. What was she thinking confronting him?

This Joran character sucks. He is such a lying liar who lies. I do hope the Peruvian authorities somehow get him to say what happened to Holloway.

I have a feeling he hurt others throughout his travels in the past five years.

I've always been a big fan of Aruba, but I hope the officials there are seeing the error of their ways.

He won't survive in a Peruvian jail...

BEST NEWS I'VE HEARD ALL DAY!

Finally, some justice for poor Natalie's family, especially her mother, and Stephany's family as well. This kid is such a sociopath, I'm glad he won't be out on the streets anytime soon.

Kelli said...

they must have tortured the shit out of him in Peru to make him confess.......this is no Aruba, where he was protected.
I didn't know his father died- wow he is really going to be DOA !!

Unknown said...

I'm totally glad he's going to be punished properly for what he's done, but I just wish they could find Natalie's remains so her family could get some sort of closure.

libby said...

They didn't torture him, Kelli. This sad event is actually Peru's big chance to show itself as having a sophisticated and fair legal system, and try and dispel the stereotype of Peru being a lawless hillbilly backwater.
They know the world is watching, so I think Joran van der Fuck will actually live longer in prison than many of you expect. The only good thing about that is he's probably going to be isolated alone for years in a shitty Peruvian prison, with almost no conversation or entertainment.

This dude is just unreal. When I heard about this murder, my jaw literally dropped. What a sociopath!

this pos deserves everything he gets.

i agree, i dont think he will ever make it out of peru alive - unless they have some type of protective custody...which i just don't see.

and let's say he does survive and gets out in 10 years. he will be extradited to the US and will probably serve 20 years for the extortion of natalee holloway's mother.

it would be strange if he served more time here for extorting someone as opposed to murder...but hey whatever keeps him free and killing more young girls.

i would love to have known what exactly stephany said to him to get him so angry. clearly from his reaction he killed natalee holloway. i hope he comes clean and just tells them what really happened and where the body is. however, i sense he's too much of a narcissist for that.

holyrollernova said...

typo - sorry i meant whatever keeps him from being free and killing more girls!

Alice D Millionaire said...

What is weird is that Stephany's cousin said she knew who he was from a special she had recently seen on the Holloway case and still hung out with him and went to his room with him alone.

In his confession VDS said that Stephany found some stuff on his computer linking him to Holloway's murder so hopefully someone can get some information from the computer that will lead to a break in the Holloway case.

Kristen S. said...

Yeah, I have a feeling 10 years in Peruvian prison would be like 50 years in a US prison.

RocketQueen said...

Excellent news, but wow. The more I learn about this guy, the more afraid I am of people. You just never know how many effing PSYCHOS are out there.

Jenny said...

Wouldn't his computer be in Dutch? She spoke Spanish and English. What could she see on his computer in so little time while he was getting coffee?

Is he blaming her for her death because she touched his computer? He is a murderer on the lookout for excuses and ways to blame others.

I doubt his confession is completely truthful and only designed to lessen his sentence. Hopefully the forensic evidence will shed more light on what really happened.

canadachick said...

very weird...when we heard the news about the coffee run for the first time last night, my husband said i bet she googled him.....word

jess said...

Oh man.....it seems that when he was in Colombia (my country) the previous week, two girls from the same casino in Bogotá -where he was frequently visiting at the same time- are also missing. And they were seen with this guy.

I just hope he doesn't get out, in Castro Castro there are important and dangerous men like Hugo Trujillo Ospina.

Nosey Parker said...

@canadachick

I bet he googled himself and showed it to Stephany. The 5 year anniversary of Natalie was on his mind.

As long as it's not by his own hand I'm happy.

This guy reminds me of Paul Bernardo. No remorse whatsoever, a truly evil person. And I'm waiting for the body count to increase; you KNOW he's behind many other missing women/murder cases, there is ZERO doubt in my mind.

Rot in hell you sick f*ck.

lmnop123 said...

Nosey Parker I agree. It was no coincidence that he picked up this young lady, she googled him which upset him and he killed her.

He planned this for the five year anniversary of Natalee.

angelina said...

Where's the video surveillance showing his "coffee run?" I'll bet that's just some bullshit he made up. Also, check the laptop for computer searches...I don't believe this motherfucker for one sorrowful minute.

Maja With a J said...

*shudder* every time I read about this guy I just get the jibblies.

ThoughtElf said...

Yeah, he might have confessed, but it isn't an entirely truthful telling of the story. Stating that he broke her neck doesn't account for the other battering she took, nor does it explain why her pants were off.

More lies. I'm glad some Peruvian Bubba will make Joran learn how to squeal in Spanish, but that still doesn't seem to be enough when it is obvious he's still lying to minimize his guilt, violence and rage.

Lisa (not original) said...

You actually think that little bitch will survive 10 years in the Peruvian pokey? What an adorable optimist you've turned out to be! XD

Lolita Breckenridge said...

@Jess - I hadn't heard that about the two missing women in Bogota.

This isn't his first murder, or his second.

I hope the Aruban officials are sleepless with guilt. If they had prosecuted him appropriately, that woman - and how many others? - might still be alive.

Maybe he finally spilled about Natalee?

Melody the First said...

@Libby, they didn't torture him per se, but they certainly used more incentive than merely reducing his sentence. That stone-faced little weasel wouldn't admit to anything when he murdered poor Natalee. If it had happened in the States, he'd be gaming the system. There, he actually was forced to admit his crime. In some respects, and in some instances, hillbillies have the right idea. I say that as a hillbilly.

Meg said...

I agree with most of the previous posters...he probably won't survive jail or may kill himself. He seems completely unstable. The little bit of time he spent in Aruba jail he was close to losing it (I read).

I hope and pray that he does end up confessing to Natalee's murder so her poor family can finally get some peace.

I find it hilarious/astounding that up until today Aruban officials were saying they thought Joran had been set up. What. A. Bunch. Of. Morons!

Unknown said...

Wait--it cannot be easy to grab someone's neck and break it. I mean, the neck is not a twig. How would that even work?

And wasn't she also stabbed?

I don't remember ever feeling such glee at the thought of a person going into a horrible prison. May his every day be agony for decades to come.

Oh, and I'm SURE he's killed other women too.

captivagrl said...

He killed her and took her casino winnings($5000) and her jewelry. I think he's been stalking(possibly killing) women for years. That jail in Peru is very appropriate for this animal.

mooshki said...

Jess, that's scary. They need to give him sodium pentathol or something and find out how many women he's assaulted and/or killed.

Amy in MI said...

@Jen - He reminded me of Bernado as well.... Speaking of, why isn't that mother f'er dead? Do they have him in solitary? Ugh.

Tenley said...

He caught her "looking through documents he had on the Aruba case" and then killed her because of what she saw? Everything about that case is public record, unless he has other "documents" about Natalee that are worth killing someone over if they were to see. Seriously. Authorities are looking into what's on his computer, correct?

ChasingHeaven said...

I don't believe his "confession" for a minute. If it's true, then why were her pants off? I think he drugged Natalie, too much which is why she died. I think he attempted to drug Stephany with a little less in her coffee so she wouldn't die but miscalculated, she came to and fought back against him. According to news today, a neck is very difficult to break, you have to do it just right and have the knowledge/experience to do it. I don't think he's a stranger to these horrific crimes.

J-Mo said...

Natalee Holloway's mother said in an interview that when she mentioned his name in Aruba, a hotel worker? knew him as the guy who targets young tourists to drug and take advantage of (something along those lines, not verbatim at all).
I had never heard about him recruiting sex trade workers. Makes you wonder what happened to those he didn't think were suitable for the brothels.
