This celebrity dad whose children are all grown shouldn’t expect an empty nest just yet. Although we hear about a relationship with his very famous child in the press now and again, he’s been in contact with a secret second family. He allegedly had another wife or mistress (the legalities aren’t clear) and had a family with her. His youngest child from that relationship is somewhere around 9 years old. His public and famous family have no idea this other family exists, and he pays them handsomely to keep quiet about it.
i thought Jon Voight at first..but can't see him paying off Angie.

ReplyDelete@MISCH - I never heard that story about Angie, where did you hear that? That rumor would have been everywhere... I doubt it's true. She may have aborted and felt guilty about it, but I doubt she actually gave birth and gave it up.

ReplyDeleteSeriously, I just don't get the lack of birth control in an insular little community like Hollywood that is fraught with STD's and "unplanned" pregnancies.

ReplyDeleteMisch, AGC is the website for the Usenet newsgroup alt.gossip.celebrities. For the young 'uns, Usenet is another part of the Internet, which does not happen to consist solely of the World Wide Web.
ReplyDeleteUsenet has tens of thousands of newsgroups, each devoted to a specific topic. It is traditionally accessed by subscribing to a news server, and using a software client to read and post to specific newsgroups. Nowadays few internet service providers provide Usenet access, so most people access it via Google Groups. However, there are free news servers out there that provide much better access to Usenet, and a news reader will permit you to filter topics and posters, which Google Groups doesn't allow you to do.
There are a great many gossip newsgroups, but a.g.c is one of the oldest and most active. It was around long before blogs, well before most gossip sites on the web.
The AGC website is maintained by Pussykatt, or Billie as she is also known. She collects blind items from quite a few sites, and posts them to a.g.c, where the denizens post their guesses. She then puts it all up on the AGC website.
Everyone is welcome to find their way to a.g.c, or Usenet in general. Frankly, I find it much more user-friendly than most web forums - but hey, things change, the world moves on, and nowadays most people have either forgotten about Usenet, or never knew of its existence in the first place. But we on a.g.c watch your blogs, and websites, and collect your gossip, and discuss it on Usenet.

This insinuates that he wasn't married. With everything going on with his kids right now and the fact that he played the wounded widower for so long...it screams Ryan.

As for the blind, my very first thought was Kirk Douglas, but the line hearing about a relationship with his famous child now and again made me think it was something with more publicity to it. 2nd thought was Ryan O'Neal, but I doubt he has enough money for this. Jon Voight sounds good. Wouldn't Angie be royally pissed! And rightly so.

ReplyDeleteShakey - unfortunately the Pink Princess passed away a few years ago. She wasn't very old, either, so it came as quite a shock to all her friends and family.
ReplyDeleteBrandy Alexandre (the former porn star) had to move on because she had a couple of deranged stalkers on a.g.c who wouldn't leave her alone. They'd outed her in real life and cost her a job. They wouldn't let up on their obsession with attacking a woman who was comfortable having sex on camera, so she finally threw up her hands and left. Bigolhomo got tired of the political freaks that are infesting just about all of Usenet nowadays, and left, too. But Big J is still there and still one of the most hilarious posters on a.g.c. And there's several good new posters there, too, including S. Fu, a California lawyer who's very familiar with the entertainment biz and comments on it frequently. His legal views on H-wood gossip are always enlightening reads.
Hey, Enty - I just realized last week that I spend more time commenting about your blog on Gawker than I spend commenting here. I may not be contributing much here, but at least I'm plugging you there!
Finally, on this blind: I saw it as being Ryan O'Neal and Tatum as soon as I read it.
Tom Hanks? Aren't his kids all grown up, and he has a son who's getting into the business. I may be reading now and again wrong, but I thought it might mean that it's trotted out occasionally, not that they were on the outs occasionally. It certainly would be a surprise for someone with his reputation!

ReplyDeleteI'm sure Brandy Alexander worked for a very short time on Dexter. She was a set decorator, I believe and she was on the opening credits. I wonder if that's the job she lost. By the time I left she was getting some major hate from people. Didn't understand why.
There was another person being persecuted on there but I can't quite remember the name ... Piccione? No, something Italian, maybe first name Michael. I wound up leaving for 2 reasons - people badmouthing others (seem to recall Judith and Linda taking turns persecuting then being persecuted themselves), and Bell wouldn't support Usenet anymore.
